Close to bus and trains

Area is close to bus and train stops. Air conditioned but not cool enough to keep us comfortable. Clean and well supplied. Somehow mosquitos managed to get our apartment. We only got bitten inside but never when touring the city! Has a washer but you need to bring your own detergent. Has 3 beds, but one is a sofa bed in the living area. Kitchen area is small. Suitable for 6 people. Owner is very easy to deal with and is reachable.

Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication

Absolutely devastating

This was our first stay upon arriving to Italy. Wow Had booked this stay months in advanced. Few days prior to our flight I had messaged the host through Vrbo for any checkin instructions. I had no replies which made me feel uneasy, but I’ve never had issues with hosts from Vrbo before so I shrugged it off. Long flight to get to Italy, a long train trip after, and finding the correct bus to get to her location in strange lands later we stood infront of her door with luggages and everything ready to rest a bit. During the flight and at the airport I had also messaged the host again. She was unreachable and got no answer. Long story short. She ditched us after we paid the entire booking. She never answered calls nor texts. Her phone listed was not even connected (?). There were other tenants in the apartment complex with same last name as host. We buzzed their number from front door and that person replied. With best Italian we could muster (Ty gooogle tranSlate) she told us the host was not here. This was during checking hours so we were very upset, stressed, and scared because now we didn’t had a place to stay at. We reached out to VRBO, they tried to also reach out to host but could not get through either. We were given some options from them. We opted to look for a place ourselves and they would reimburse. We tried and nothing was available. Because of this, our trip started very stressful and wasted hours!! Vrbo helped a lot in booking us somewhere else.
