Charming and prestigious house, totally indipendent, 60 m2 on two levels,
in the heart of the eternal city, a few steps from Navona Square and Saint Angel Castel. Located in a best neighborhoods of Rome, in a very beautiful characteristic area, full of shops, antique craft shops, jewelers, wine bar, restaurants, pubs.
You will not need metro, bus, taxi during your holidays, you can reach walking all monuments and attractions to Rome.
A short walk from Campo De 'Fiori Square, Navona Square, San Pietro Square, Vatican Cities, Pantheon, most important Churches, Imperial Fora, Colosseum and much more..
Residenza dei Banchi Nuovi is located on the ground floor of the beautiful building dated 1500th of the Banco di Santo Spirito, the ancient seat of the papal mint used for the minting of 'Giulii' Vatican coins.
This ancient and prestigious building is characterised by a concave facade made from the most famous italian architect Antonio da Sangallo the Younger and from two wonderful baroque statues symbolizing Love and Frugality.

This apartment was perfect for my family of 3 (me, my wife, teenaged son). The location was ideal: a short walk to the Vatican (the Castel Sant’Angelo is literally at the end of the block) and also to the Pantheon and other sights, but it is a little separate from the tourist crush. We loved wandering the narrow cobblestoned streets around the house and discovered lots a cool boutiques, restaurants and wine bars within walking distance. (Giulio Passami L’Olio around the corner was particularly nice for a glass of wine.) Alessandro was a lovely host and made sure we had everything we needed (and even gave us some advice on how to get to the Lazio match). He booked us a taxi to the airport when we left to make sure we had a stress free departure. I look forward to recommending this as a place to stay when my friends ask for travel recommendations for Rome in the future. We had such a lovely stay!

Die Lage des Apartments ist perfekt! Wir haben keine öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel nutzen müssen. Wer gut zu Fuß ist, kann die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten gut zu Fuß erreichen. 50m die Straße runter haben wir das Beste Frühstück gehabt (Bar Amore). Super lecker, sehr günstig und netter Service. Alessandro war sehr zuvorkommend und hat uns sehr geholfen. Er hatte ein offenes Ohr für Fragen. Das Gepäck könnten wir kostenlos bis zum Abflug bei ihm im Büro (Gepäckdepot) lassen. Es hat einfach alles perfekt und reibungslos geklappt. Eine bessere Unterkunft hätten wir nicht haben können. Vielen Dank dafür! Grazie mille Alessandro!

Great but hot

Lovely historical apartment in great location! Close to many attractions. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars overall is because it did not have air conditioning. With Rome being so hot in the summer, we did not have the best sleeps during our stay. Everything else was great. Would highly recommend during cooler seasons.

Great location

Alessandro was very kind and the apartment was very quaint, but with summer heat and no air conditioning, we couldn’t do it. There’s a reason Rome mandates hotels to have air conditioning May-Oct and this was an oversight on my part. We had to leave after one night and book a hotel.

Great location!

Great location. We felt very safe even walking back at midnight from a soccer match. Apartment was clean and the beds were comfortable. Our favorite sandwiches was just across the street La Salumeria. Easy check in and out. Great host communication! Highly recommend.

Location, location

Had a fabulous stay in the heart of the action. The apartment was steps away from shops, restaurants and sites. The apartment itself was roomy enough for a couple and adult child. The main floor has a table, chairs and kitchen.There is a set of narrow and winding stairs to get up to the bedrooms and bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom updated and modern. The twin bedroom is through the bathroom and does not have a door to close off. Alessandro was a great host. He answered all questions before and during our stay. Would definitely chose to stay again when in Rome!

Rome adventure

This place was absolutely perfect! You can’t beat the location. Everything you want to see is within walking distance. We walked to the Vatican, Colosseum, the Spanish Steps, Trevi fountain, Pantheon…. Now - the apartment… ideal, adorable, very clean, there was even a little welcome basket of chips and crackers. Not noisy, friendly neighbors, excellent area to walk around the meandering streets, we felt VERY safe! Alessandro was communicative, he reached out the day before with clear, simple instructions for check in. We would not hesitate to book his place again. Out of all the neighborhoods we walked around during our stay, we favored his by far.

Great place in Roma!

We had a great stay at this place hosted by Alessandro. Neighborhood was great with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Walking distance to Saint Peter’s, Colosseum, Pantheon, etc. Alessandro was helpful with food recommendations - all were excellent. We traveled with our infant and the baby crib was provided. Great placed for small families or couples.
