“We loved the property it was accurately described, clean and cozy for our stay. For anyone with mold sensitivities like myself I had zero issues in the home. The host was super responsive and it was centrally located for all our exploration and nature adventures.It may be the nicest and most well kept building in this once thriving town. Think honesty about the towns in the area is important to note too for anyone traveling to this area. We were only threatened by homeless people strung out on……

“Clean, quiet, and very private retreat in nice neighborhood, just a short distance from downtown Arcata, shops and restaurants. It was perfect as a base to explore the area from Eureka to Trinidad, with lots of opportunities to hike in the redwoods, birdwatch at the famous Arcata Marsh, and stroll/tidepool at the many beaches.”

“I wanted to love this place but was sadly disappointed. I appreciate the effort, some really cool furniture, the woods were beautiful. But the door didnt lock, i didn’t feel very secure sleeping there with kids. The composting toilet was not exactly what i was expecting…it WAS a composting toilet but essentially it was going into a garbage bag. The wood stove worked nicely but the wood burned very quick and went out as you sleep so unless you add it all night you wake up cold. The bed had a kids……

“Property is perfect for 2 people. Location is 2 blocks from the plaza in downtown Arcata. Plenty of places to eat all within walking distance. I highly recommend this property. I will be back.”

“Great and serene location away from the usual hustle and bustle of the city. The property was easily one of the most unique experiences, apparently they’re newer to VRBO so setting up and arriving was clunky at first but as soon as I made contact with the host Michaela, it was smooth sailing from there and things were not confusing. Check in and out were clear! Cozy place and there was a bevy of things to do close by, an excellent North Star if you’re visiting Humboldt County for the first time!……

“Great place to stay! Quiet, safe neighborhood with beautiful homes all around. (We love looking at historical homes and neighborhoods.) The rental itself was sparkling clean, well-appointed with everything we needed, beds were comfortable, and the WiFi worked great. I highly recommend this home and would happily stay here again.”
