Great location and community and amazing beach access. You nearly have the beach to yourself. Beds were super comfy and kitchen was great for feeding our family of 6. Our youngest appreciated the toys. We loved the beach toys and bikes in the garage as well as the lending library on your way to the beach. We’d certainly recommend this vbro for families to enjoy quiet peaceful neighborhood near an amazing beach.

The place was clean. Close to beach and had everything you needed plus more. Ie well stocked kitchen. Had kayaks and bikes to use. Tidy section. Was a quiet local neighbourhood.

Carrie's communication was great from booking to end, and the house is very comfortable and well-equipped, comfortably hosting 6 of us including 3 children for 4 nights. Proximity to the beach is fantastic, barely a 2 minute stroll, and other amenities including shops and playground are also walking distance. The large deck and outdoor space was great for dining and playing. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic kiwi bach experience.

We loved our stay! Our young ones enjoyed the toys and our teens loved the led mirror in the bathroom (many many mirror selfies). The property was clean and the beds were comfortable, we will be back!

Nice breakaway

We had a lovely break away. The bach was clean, tidy and modern but also had touches of the past, enough to remind me of fond memories visiting my grandparents. It was warm and the beds were amazing! Ka pai.

Warm in winter

Despite the very wet and wild winter weather we enjoyed our weekend stay, the house is warm, with the 3 heat pumps and new carpet it felt cosy. Spotlessly clean. Had a few wild windy walks on the beach, last day was sunshine and calm, lovely to see the change. Half hour drive to Whangarei where we enjoyed seeing the Hundertwasser Centre and Whangarei Art Museum, great for a wet day. Loved that we could bring our dog, he loved the expansive beach where he could run for miles.

Just Lovely

The Bach is as promised, close to an absolutely gorgeous beach, accessed directly from a small greenway. It’s a cute little older house but quite well maintained and very cozy and comfortable. Everything we needed and more was available for our use. Even in slightly wet weather we didn’t regret this stay one bit, and could have stayed longer very happily.The local market and basic needs are just a short drive or a fifteen minute walk away.Carrie and John were responsive to all of our questions and more than happy to share advice and knowledge.By all means we would book this little Bach again. It was modest but complete and the location and hosts were beyond wonderful.

Lovely place, even in winter!

This property was perfect for our family of four and two dogs. The house is very comfortable and is well furnished with everything you might need. The garden has plenty of room for zoomies and is secured to keep the dogs safe. Just a few minutes away, the beach is within easy reach and there are so many open grassed areas nearby to go for walks or throw a ball around. A small supermarket, several takeaways, playgrounds and a community exercise centre within walking distance are fantastic community facilities and mean that you don't have to leave Ruakaka if you don't want to!

Beautiful Beach Holiday Home

Beautiful home getaway, literally moments from the beach exactly how it is….!! Paradise by the ocean

A group of us wanted to get away to acknowledge my 55th birthday. The place was better than anticipated. Unique and perfectly placed. Has everything you require and so close to the shops and beach. Looking forward to booking again!

Fun in the sun

We were there for a family reunion. We rented 2 homes. This one was perfect for us and we caught fish on the beach and the kids had fun. Very well stocked with kitchen gear. Recommend this place.

Fantastic Easter Break

We had a lovely 3 day mini break for Easter enjoying some stormy weather beach walks, Waipu Carnival and just some good old R&R. Would 100% come back to the bach, it was lovely and clean and perfect for the 5 of us.

Perfect spot by the ocean

Place has been renovated lovely inside, was clean and warm and had everything we needed. Weather was not on our side but managed beach walks in between rain as it's so close to the beach & the fishing from beach was great! Would love to come back in summer
