Rudolfinum is located on the right bank of the Vltava river at the Mánes Bridge on Aleš Embankment. This neo-Renaissance building was built by the Czech Savings Bank for the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its foundation. It was named after the Rudolfinum successor to the Habsburg throne, Archduke Rudolph. The architects hired for this project were the prominent personas of the art scene at the time - Josef Zítek and Josef Schulz.

The building was inaugurated in 1885 as a multipurpose cultural center with a concert hall and exhibition halls. Today, there is the Dvořák's Concert Hall, and also two smaller concert halls: Suk Hall and Kubelík Hall. The last complete renovation that the building has undergone was between 1990 and 1992.

Rudolfinum now houses the Czech Philharmonic orchestra and the Gallery Rudolfinum. Dvořák's Hall regularly hosts major concerts such as the world-famous Prague Spring

"We were very happy with our stay at Hotel Bologna while visiting for Christmas. The location was ideal, a short walk from the Old Town Square or Charles Bridge and not far from a metro. The roads around it are small but we felt perfectly safe even late at night. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we were welcomed with a small mulled wine which was a lovely touch. The room was a good size with a comfy bed and ample storage space with a good wardrobe and lots of drawers, and a small safe for your passport etc. Nice and quiet and comfortable and we slept well. Fab shower! We appreciated the little kitchenette area too with the fridge. Breakfast was excellent. Two of our days we arrived after 10 but there was still plenty of choice. Cereals, fruit, delicious pastries as well as hot food such as scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon etc which was very good. My husband loved the hot chocolate and my favourite was the apple filled lattice pastries! Our last day we went at a busier time but no problem getting a table. We can also recommend the little burger bistro next door to the hotel, excellent burgers! We were very happy with our choice as it was good value and we would stay here again if we returned to Prague."
