「End July 2026. Didn't use Spa or Amenities. Pros: Overall a good stay. Restaurant/bar food medium priced, bar drinks well priced. Premium room had whirlpool bath, very nice, Good pillows & mattress. Cons: TV in room quite old, needs time updated to BST, unable to use EPG as mainly not available. New TV would be better. Knives in restaurant & bar couldn't cut butter, need replacing. Bath surround needs mildew treating.」

「Our stay was ok. However the mattress in our room, the springs were gone which caused me to be quite uncomfortable throughout our stay and caused me to have pain in my hips. We then also didn't have a plug for our bath and were given a spare one that then also didn't fit the bath. The toilet was also flowing constantly at the back and the plug in the sink didn't also hold water. We ended up having food in the restaurant where my steak wasn't too good. It was very fatty, very tough and I couldn't...

We're told at reception that the room was up 2 flight of stairs but it would be worth it, Walking into room 12 our breath was taken away, it was definitely worth the climb. 「A lovely stay in a beautiful hotel with an excellent spa. The facilities in the spa are first rate and the opening times mean you can make the most of this during your stay. I also liked the fact you could get ready in your room and had the rooms and flip flops there ready for you. Our room was beautiful. Very comfortable and clean. Only downside was breakfast. 「We enjoyed our stay at The Upper House. It's a beautiful property set in large gardens. Breakfast was good and we dined at their restaurant on a couple of nights and the food was excellent. Very close to the World of Wedgwood and a short walk to Barlaston, where there are a couple of pubs. EV charging is available for a small fee.」
