Small & Overpriced
Not a fan of leaving negative reviews but sharing facts. Did not receive email prior to arrival with details so I had to call first and received email with front door code. Upon arrival we received no email with room nr. Check in was self service with iPad and activating a key, that’s where you find out what room you are in. Very small room for price and not what you see online, (overpriced difficult to move around in) squeeky AC making it difficult to sleep crackling every 20 seconds. Bathroom extremely small and cold, no central heating in room. Could not use restroom with door closed for leg space, roof is slanted and bathroom as well so you can’t stand fully in shower if you are tall. Loud / heavy doors so other visitors would wake you. Lots of stairs, no elevator. Cleanliness is okay but not spotless which you would expect. Bed cover had hole in it. There is a night shop located next door with some shady people hanging around at night which makes entering and using the code uncomfortable if you are a woman with child (like us) Centrally located. Bed was super comfortable. Bed was made after the first day which was nice. Overal would not stay again but it’s easy if you need a quick last minute central place to sleep if you are out and about during the day.

Great spot near train station and inner city. Walkable and a coffee shop downstairs. Room interiors were well designed and decorated. Wish it came with a parking voucher for nearest lot though.

Quirky old property . More like a dormitory with separate rooms. Hottest day ever and i had to keep the window open to put outside the pipe from the air-condition unit. Room was clean and comfortable . I don't think worth €108 for one night.

An honest review
Was told in an email from the little duck hotel that there was parking under the railway station opposite! This is not true ! The parking is for bicycles only ! You have find alternatives! Checking in was a pain as it wouldn’t recognise the log in number ! I had to phone up twice to get this process sorted! Stairs are very steep so for elderly or people not so good on there feet this is dangerous! The carpet on the stairs needs changing as it’s thread bare and falling apart ! We got charged an extra £3;95 and 45 pence currency charge to have the key cards processed! Room was ok , bathroom was a bit small ! Shower door would hit the sink when you opened it ! Mould on the tiles around the shower base and the door leaked water onto the floor ! Bed was comfortable tho ! Not a bad stay but small improvements wouldn’t go amiss !

the 1st time in this hotel was perfect; the room was facing the station and was quiet enough. The 2nd time we were on the side of the main road, and above the Night Shop - there was a lot of noise from there and people outside. Unfortunately due to the heat, we had to keep the window open and the noise was difficult. On our 2nd night we kept the window closed and the airco on, but that gave it's own noise (though better than outside sounds). The help with checkin was great over the phone. I did miss an email with the code to the door though, which I did get the first time, but not the second.

Good value, good location, limited onsite services
Great location, the room was compact but comfortable. There is no reception desk, no bar or restaurant on site but there is an excellent cafe next door for breakfast and lunch. There is no lift and the stairs are steep so this may be a problem for some guests with heavy luggage or any issues with narrow steep stairs. Self check-in tricky, needed a phone call to the remote reception.

Good value for money if you have no car
If you have a car ,you need to park it in railway station.If you make a booking through Hotels.com you will not able to self check in .You need to call them.Steps are very steep,i will not recomend for seniors.AC in room,but portable one,you need to take care about the bucket which come along.Price very good though

Good for Short Stays
It's a lovely, easy but slight expensive hotel close to the city centre and the central station. The bathrooms are tiny so for two people it gets a bit cramped in there, but the beds are super comfortable so for a short stay, would recommend.

Since there’s no front desk, it’s important that the booking process between Orbitz and property work seamlessly. Hours after is booked I didn’t have check in info or know that a special email should have been sent. I arrived at the property and had to call Customer service, which as an international guest was expensive and complicated. The check in email never arrived.

What a gem
I got stranded in Den Bosch with train issues and looked up cheapest hotel closest to train station. I honestly wasn't expecting anything as long as there is a bed. What i got was a cozy beautiful room with a enormous bathroom and bed, anything I would wish for a holiday stay. Proper minifridge, quality soaps and conditioner, Netflix and free wifi...I am definitely coming back someday for more than a "forced to find a bed for the night" stay! Place is self-check in with no staff on-site, I had some issue with my check-in and got quickly hold of a lovely lady by the phone who was more than amazing in getting me all settled in.

Very basic no kettle, For the money paid for our weekend was terrible especially when its all self service we paid for 4 star only received 2 star. the only positive is its central. The pictures you have are very tells a different story to what is real. no drawers, wardrobe. tv not hd.

Not so clean/Bigger rooms are small. Good check-in
The 'Big" Room is actually quite small and not as big as they advertise. The is little storage space too. The bathroom was not very clean with grime on the shower's tiles. The blinds are see-through and no light blocking. Walls are thin, so noise can be heard easily (luckily guests were well behaved). The only positives are the location - just 2 min from the station and in front on the famous bakery Jan de Groot (area clean and quiet) - and the speedy and easy self check-in and check-out.

Little Duke - check in great if it works
Very close to the train station. Fairly close to the center (it is a small town). Booked on morning of the arrival date, did not receive the door code, reminded the property by email, yet no answer. Had to call the hotel number (took some wait to get connected). There is no one at the reception (they share a reception with another hotel) The checkin itself is fairly simple (you give a payment card and decide how many access cards you need). The checkout seems simple (if the computer works; it was in administrator mode when I tried to checkout, but you can call the reception from within the hotel for free). You get a receipt after checkout to your email. Fast wifi, cozy design. Overall, I would come to this town again, I would also stay at this hotel again.

Cosy, affordable and great for a traveller
Hotel was small but cosy, I like the steep stairs as it's typical of Holland and good for tourists to have the local experience. The access code wasn't clear to open the door and the telephone number took a long time to answer at night (circa 10pm) so I recommend adding the access code in the welcome email or message sent automatically.

Ok for one night.
The Little Duke is by far the smallest place we stayed in a month of traveling around Europe. We barely had enough room and we just had a backpack each, I don’t recommend it if you have a lot of luggage especially since there’s no elevator. My boyfriend hated the bed but I didn’t mind it. The room was clean and the bathroom was a descent size, but I’m glad we were only there one night passing through. It is right across the street from the train station, which is super convenient, and also across the street from the best Bossche Bol bakery! It was a short walk to the city center, Saint John’s Cathedral, and the Hieronymus Bosch art center.

A single person room was sold as a two person room while it was barely big enough for one person. The double bed filled the whole room with just enough space to crawl out to at the end and open the door to the toilet/shower. Fortunately we did not have a suitcase which would not have fitted in.

Het is een prachtige locatie. Helaas waren wij "weg gepropt" op kamer 15. Deze kunnen ze beter niet verhuren of met de juiste info dat dit een wel héél erg kleine kamer is. Een eerder verblijf op een andere kamer was prima.

Geweldige kamer op een leuke plek tegenover centraal station Den Bosch en dus op loopafstand van het centrum. De avondwinkel zit er pal naast voor de liefhebbers. Nadelig is het automatisch inchecken zonder receptie, dit gaat zelden vlekkeloos. Ook is de smart tv ontzettend traag.

Kamer heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. Het is alleen klein. Parkeren moet in een parkeergaräge en dat loopt best in de kosten denk ik. Vlakbij het centrum op loopafstand.

Het bed was goed, de douche ook. Echter, er is geen receptie. Het is daarom relatief eenvoudig om binnen te komen, indien men geen gast is. (Brand)veiligheid is ondermaats. Hotel voelt heel onpersoonlijk aan, mede door gebrek aan service. Prijskwaliteitverhouding zondermeer matig.

Voor mensen die niet bij ons verblijven zitten de deuren altijd op slot. We hadden een overnachting cadeau gedaan aan (schoon)moeder en haar zusje. Bij aankomst bleek dat ze in een wel erg kleine kamer met een nog kleiner, hoog raam zaten. Maar na een telefoontje naar de receptie, kregen ze, zonder slag of stoot, een upgrade. Mooie, ruime kamer. Het ontbijt, in het naastgelegen pand was ruim voldoende en lekker. De dames hebben genoten!!
