A few steps away are the ancient Via dei Mercanti, the cathedral and Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the commercial heart of the city. The train station and the other tourist port of the city of Salerno are a quarter of an hour away on foot, along Corso Garibaldi with its extension of Via Roma or the Lungomare or the pedestrian Via dei Mercanti. In the immediate vicinity there are food shops, household items, a hairdresser, a pharmacy and two churches; Shopping areas are in the immediate vicinity. The "Marina d'Arechi", one of the largest tourist ports in the Mediterranean with over 1,000 berths and a charter departure base, is 15 minutes away by car.
