Valletta Saluting Battery Hotels

"This is a great traditional hotel and the staff are marvelous. We had one issue with our room and were quickly switched to another, upgraded, room, and recieved numerous apologies for the inconvenience, which was minimal. The formal restaurant is lovely and the breakfast buffet (which you may choose to prepay) is excellent. The mushrooms were our favorite. My wife and I visited in the off season and appreciated the value. This hotel is located right outside Valletta's walls, so it is handy to everything in the city. And, a small note for those of us of a certain age, the hotel provides an oft running shuttle to the city gates at top of the hill, even though it is not far at all. Most recommended. "

The location in Gzira is perfect - walking distance to Sliema waterfront, great cafes nearby, and a calm neighborhood at the same time. I'll definitely be coming back in March for an extended stay.
