"The hotel is right in the heart of Valletta, situated in a vibrant street full of bars and restaurants. But our room was peaceful and quiet, (you could only hear faint sounds) allowing for a peaceful nights sleep. The suite was over three floors with a spiral staircase. Although the bedroom floor with double shower, wasn’t the most spacious, the quirky uniqueness of the hotel more than made up for this. Also you are rewarded with beautiful, stunning views of the harbour and the three cities across the harbour. We were fortunate enough to have spectacular fireworks show for 3 of our 5 night stay. The staff and owner were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I could go on and on about how the usual and historical/traditional design of the hotel made our stay in Malta extra special. Thank you to you all for your hospitality."
San Karlu Hotel

"Customer service was excellent at all times. Staff were always happy to help out with anything. The whole hotel was so clean and in superb condition. Air conditioning in the room was faultless. Our room didn’t have a balcony, so the towels weren’t able to dry each day because we chose to keep the air conditioning running for when we returned to the room, but they supplied clean towels every day without complaint. We requested extra hangers and an iron and ironing board - no problem there either. Breakfast was as advertised; it was well-managed by staff and offered a range of options for different tastes and diets. The pool was a lovely space to relax and cool down after a day of exploring. Bar staff were very cheerful and friendly when we were up there - even when we turned up to use the pool at 8.30pm (bar closes at 9pm and we were a family of four). Malta is the sort of place that you return to, and when we do again, we will just use this hotel from now on. We stayed in an Airbnb last time, but this was so much more comfortable. Our favourite aspect was how friendly the staff were."

"I cannot say enough good things about Domus Zamittello. The building itself it beautiful, the suite was spacious and the staff were incredibly helpful. I would absolutely try and stay here again if i am back in Malta."

"We stayed at The Barrister in Valletta for 4 nights and had a great time there. The highlights were the convenient location and the staff, who were very friendly and took the time to help us with recommendations in Malta and trip planning. They even overheard us once at breakfast and came over to help without asking! The free coffee and breakfast each day were also excellent. I only have one small complaint / piece of feedback: There were no shower curtains in my bathroom, which made it a bit awkward to use the shower each day. This might have just been an issue with my room, though."
