Hard Rock Hotel San Diego

10/10 Excellent

"I loved the 2 days that we stayed at this hotel. The place was very clean, staff were very friendly and helpful. The location wasn’t that great because there was an event going on during the time we stayed and it was hard to find a parking space. The valet parking was great, only it was quite pricy:( other than that, the place is highly recommended if you don’t mind paying a high rate on valet parking."

"PROS Lovely hotel, perfectly located for all that ‘Little Italy’ has to offer. Walking distance to many great cafes, restaurants and a short drive to the zoo etc. Hotel was clean and well kept, staff were friendly. CONS Car parking is v.expensive compared to other hotels, and the car park itself is tight for space."

"The hotel was good but the parking is terrible. When they say the parking is narrow they really do mean narrow. I had a difficult time finding parking and getting out of the structure and I have a small car. Good thing I was able to find a private parking area outside of the hotel."

"My family and I just returned from a 2 night stay and we really enjoyed ourselves.. we stayed in a studio suite and our room was spacious and very clean. We did stay in a newly renovated room in the Seaport Tower which was modern and fresh. The bed and couch were both comfy not the best I’ve ever had but no real complaints. The hotel itself was huge and well maintained however because they are doing lots of updates to the hotel to enhance the stay it just seemed like there was lots going in and lots unavailable. The gym was not available you had to go to the Marriot, there breakfast buffet was relocated, there was scaffolding up and down the building, the main pool area was under construction and for some reason our room wasn’t cleaned while we were out and had to call for housekeeping at 7pm to clean the room which it took over an hour for someone to come. Even with that staff was apologetic and helpful. I will say in their defense it was a busy holiday weekend and they had an extremely large group there for a huge conference. Overall out stay was good and I will come back once lots of the renovations are completed and check out more of what the amenities have to offer since again the property was still clean given the circumstances and the staff was very delightful. Ohh the food was also very good!! A huge plus for me because I’m a foodie 😊"

"No free parking but there are meters around the hotel that are good overnight parking from 8pm-10am. Or you can use an app that let's you park in property for cheaper but it's only during certain hours. Elevator with the a view is scary to ride, it shakes too much. Pool is heated. Cardio room door doesn't open all the way, I hit myself trying to open it. Overall staff was very nice and helpful."
