The property is an older building so things were not totally up to standard. The staff was kind and friendly and they came right of way to fix the issue with the door. My one complaint would be is that they didn’t have coffee.

Construction made it difficult to get to my room. The room was probably updated in the late 1990s. First late night staff was wonderful the swing shift on the second day not so much. Refrigerator didn’t work in my second room and they fixed it but it smelled and leaked water. Not bad for a cheap hotel but definitely not a great mid priced hotel.

The staff was friendly and doing the best job possible, but the property was really, really bad. Our door was so water damaged that it didn't truly close and you had to bash it with your shoulder to open. Everything was falling apart, the tub had a steady stream no matter how tight we shut it off. Not a drip, a stream. The room smelt of mold and smoke. My kids did say the bunk beds were comfortable. I hate to leave such a bad review, but that was a lot of money to spend to stay in what felt like a place that should have been condemned.

The manager is wonderful - kind and helpful and creative when unexpected issues arise ! The suites are large and comfortable for an incredibly affordable price. Would highly recommend and will come back next time I am in San Diego!

Breakfasts are no longer being offered, and the gym was closed for renovations. Those two amenities were why I picked this location! The room was fairly clean but had a mildewy smell. The front desk staff was terrific, though, and the location is really convenient to shops and restaurants, including Target.

The pool was pretty nice with the hot tub, especially was very satisfactory due to the type of weather. It was when I got there the heating the room everything worked perfectly. There’s really no complaints. I’d stay there again if I came back to San Diego.

The location is great if you are looking to get to University Heights area. Hotel is older and you can see fixes. It must at one time allowed smoking and the carpet is holding onto that smell.
