There are some lifts to parts of property but not all and they are in odd locations, for example one led to a pitch black banquet hall that you needed to pass through. "The hotel is fully remodeled and looks beautiful. Our issue with the room was that the AC did not work. We reported it the front desk and was told that the entire building’s AC was shut down for winter and would not turn on. We stated we need to have some type of cool circulation and was told to open the balcony doors. "They were doing renovations in other rooms in the building (we stayed off-season), so our room smelled like plaster and construction materials from all the dust etc from the downstairs renovation. In my opinion, they should not have listed the property since it is under renovation. We literally had to walk over construction materials to climb the stairs. "The hotel & staff exceeded our expectations at Sui Generis! We absolutely loved that it was boutique and intimate yet with a luxury feel. The breakfast every morning was amazing and the room was very spacious! The two cleanings a day was such a treat. The hotel will also provide you pool & beach towels to use which was very nice. It is also just a 5-6 minute walk to the lively city centre. I would highly recommend them for any visit to Tropea, we would definitely stay here again :)"
