Nice property. Convenient location. Place has a history. Staff was great! The room was a corner room over looking the city. Very well appointed. Such a treat. I would want to stay again. So, its loud late into the night. The place is on a busy corner. If you are a sound sleeper, no problem.

Such an amazing historic property. You can almost hear the ghosts whisper their approval during your arrival. The property is very well maintained and conveniently located next to The Masonic, and strategically positioned between the Powell St & California St, cable car routes. Several fabulous restaurants are within walking distance and a convenience store is across the street in case something was forgotten. I felt the value of the room and hospitality of the staff made this hotel a hidden gem in the Nob Hill neighborhood.

This is a charming little hotel in a very good location. Union square is about 6 blocks, only 2 with steep climb. We loved how well it was kept and the quaint atmosphere.

Great location, close to many SF amenities, including the cable car. Parking in th3 masonic garage was actually great, since the back entrance is next to the hotel. Bed was a bit lumpy, but otherwise the room was fine!

We booked it specifically because it had a kitchenette, but beyond that, we encountered a truly home-like atmosphere—it felt just like a lovely Airbnb. I highly recommend it.

Notre séjour s’est très bien passé ! La chambre était propre et confortable, avec un joli balcon pour profiter du soleil. This is an excellent place to stay! My wife and I stayed here because so many places either don’t have parking, charge an exuberant amount for parking, or are in really bad areas or crazy expensive. Parking is first come first serve and costs about $45/day with in/out privileges located at the very nearby Masonic parking garage. Outside parking is available on Taylor St. but it’s a very steep hill on a one way street. This is not a chain hotel and it is only 4 floors with both stairs and an elevator. The elevator is small but it’s an antique and works beautifully! This place has an old charm but they’ve put really nice touches on everything and is absolutely lovely! The staff are very friendly too. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Shri from the hotel welcomed us with great care. The hotel’s design and rooms are exceptional, warm and inviting, yet reminiscent of a grand 20th-century mansion. The mattress was super comfortable, and the room included a fireplace and was well equipped. Everything was spotless and very well managed. We had a wonderful time staying there and 100% recommend it.

Charming Gem!

I recently spent several days at the Nob Hill Inn and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. As an interior designer, I’m quite particular when it comes to accommodations, and this charming boutique hotel exceeded my expectations. The historic architecture is beautifully maintained, and the lobby, hallways, and guest rooms are decorated with understated elegance that feels both timeless and welcoming. The bathroom design was especially noteworthy—thoughtfully updated with a touch of luxury. I looked forward to a relaxing soak in the Duravit bathtub each evening, a small indulgence that made the experience feel restorative. What truly made my stay special, however, was the people. The owners and staff were warm, gracious, and genuinely attentive—greeting me each morning and always available to assist with anything I needed. Their hospitality gave the Inn a personal, home-like atmosphere that’s rare to find. For anyone seeking a refined yet comfortable stay in San Francisco, the Nob Hill Inn is a gem I would gladly return to.

The hotel is nice and the location is good, exactly as shown in the pictures. Unfortunately, we experienced several issues that left us dissatisfied: 1. When we arrived, the bathroom was dirty. There was a used towel behind the door, and the ones hanging looked as if they had already been used. 2. The power kept going out in our room (not the whole hotel, just our room). The first time we reported it, the staff reset the breakers and explained it was due to overload. After that, we had to reset them ourselves every day. 3. Housekeeping never cleaned our room, even though we placed the “Make the room, please” sign. We had to go down ourselves to ask for clean towels. 4. On the last two days, there was no hot water—we had to shower with cold water.

What a gem! I was pleasantly surprised and loved this inn that has a B&B feel. Clean and well-maintained, convenient location. Spacious room/apartment feel with a kitchen which I appreciated very much, Staff was friendly and helpful throughout my visit. I would definitely stay here again.
