We Highly recommend this Beautiful Gem. Very convenient to explore nearby villages then return for afternoon swimming. Barbara was an excellent host and chef who prepared some fabulous al fresco dinners for us.We hope to return many times!

Beautiful- Under the Tuscan Sun!

The perfect property and host in Tuscany. Beautiful view of San Gimignano and the countryside. The house is absolutely beautiful and well stocked. The host, Barbara, made an amazing dinner and breakfast using their farm food and wine. A perfect place to relax after visiting all the near by towns. Highly recommend!!!

Wonderful Tuscan farm house

We couldn't be more pleased with our stay and this outstanding Tuscan Farm house. The apartment itself was even better than the pictures and the views were straight out of a painting. We had two breakfasts and two suppers prepared by Barbara which were better than restaurant quality. What made this stay even more special was our host, Barbara, her father and her nona Vera! Out of all my VRBO experiences, this has been the best by far. We all wish to return.

Wow. Just wow. Perfect location, stunning view, beautiful pool and authentic Tuscan villa. However, what the Vrbo listing does not illustrate effectively is how amazing the host Barbara is. She has a professional kitchen on site (and a pasta school coming shortly) and is an amazing chef. She can create bespoke dinners from her professional kitchen with indoor or terrace dining. 3 heavenly courses at good prices. Bring your own wine or she will provide. Even glasses of her own vin santo and espresso from her coffee shop quality machine. A stunning stay

The perfect family holiday in the most beautiful setting.

The spacious accommodation on the first floor offered captivating views over the Tuscan countryside to San Gimignano on the horizon.The garden with its spacious swimming pool and outdoor eating area was greatly enjoyed by everyone. San Gimignano itself was a lovely town to explore with great restaurants and cafes. And the meal prepared for us by Barbara was very special.

Unforgettable stay at this beautiful villa

We were a group of four couples The bedrooms with en suites were perfect for us The villa resembles a Hollywood movie set of what you would expect a villa to look like. It’s beyond beautiful with an unforgettable view Barbara is the perfect hostess! The view across the fields to San Gimignano is the absolute best in all of Toscana. The villa is large and comfortable and the host warm and welcoming.

Gorgeous Property

Terrific location with breathtaking views of San G. Closer enough to bike into town. The house itself is lovely with gorgeous spaces to enjoy both inside and out. Communications with host were fantastic. Barbara was a delight to work with and arranged a wonderful home cooked dinner for us in the villa.

Tuscan Perfection

Our stay at the villa was a highlight of our nearly month-long trip to Italy. The accommodations were perfect; all bedrooms were spacious, the views were outstanding, and Barbara, the host created the best meals we ate in all of Italy. It was a great space to unwind as much as we wanted and to explore nearby towns--Certaldo was a magical place. The villa surpassed all of our expectations!

A picturesque home away from home

We just returned from spending a week at Val d' Elsa and had an absolutely wonderful time at this amazing home in one of the most picturesque settings in all of Tuscany. Barbara was a great host and did everything she could to make our stay enjoyable. Our grand kids didn't want to leave :-) The location is convenient to San Gimignano and central to the areas of Tuscany.

Family Holiday to San Gimignano

We were a family group of 7 adults and enjoyed an excellent week. The property is located on the family farm in a lovely peaceful setting just 10 minutes drive from the centre of San Gimignano. Barbara is a fantastic host and was very responsive to our questions and helped us in organising restaurants. On two evenings she prepared wonderful Italian meals for us to enjoy. The property had all the facilities we required and was perfect for our needs. We would highly recommend.

Spectacular week at Villa Lo Podere

Every five star review is spot on! The Villa is gorgeous and Barbara was the most gracious host. She fed us at 9:30 pm when we arrived late and was very helpful the entire week, answering all questions via WhatsApp very quickly. And the view…pictures don’t do it justice. Don’t hesitate to book it!

Perfect Tuscany Stay

The entire experience (pre-booking, booking, and our stay) was positive. Barbara quickly responded to my inquiries before and after booking and greeted us upon arrival. Plus, she prepared two delicious meals for our group that we enjoyed at the outside dining area—from which we had gorgeous views of the San Gimignano skyline. There are uninterrupted views of San Gimignano from inside, too: from the kitchen, the living room, and one of the bedrooms. We savored those views our entire stay. The house was comfortable, very clean, and had everything we needed. We stayed for one week and used the house as a home base while we explored San Gimignano and other Tuscan hill towns, including Volterra and Monteriggioni (two that we especially enjoyed).

Wonderful

The accommodations were extremely great. The owner/family were always available to help with everything. The grounds and accommodations couldn’t have been better. We will definitely return to this property. There isn’t anything that could have been Improved. More than meet our expectations. With a family of 5 and ages that are wide everyone had a fantastic time. Fantastic awesome time!

Ladies at Podere

We were a group of 5 ladies. This villa is very comfortable and met our needs in every way. We organized 2 meals for her to cook as well as the pasta making class. All were delicious, the pasta making class was a fun experience. View of San Gimignano is breathtaking and only 10 minutes away. Even the pool had the perfect view of Tuscany! A amazing vacation in every way. Thank you Barbara, we appreciated everything you did. We will always remember this vacation.

Surpassed our expectations!

We arrived at 3 a.m. due to airline issues and the wonderful host, Barbara, welcomed us with a smile. The next morning we were overwhelmed with the views of the property and San Gimignano. The beds were heavenly, the villa was spotless, and the location was terrific for trips to Siena, Pisa and other small towns. Barbara is a fantastic cook and gave us a cooking lesson on pasta making with a ragu sauce. Probably the most memorable meal of our time there. It is difficult to express how wonderful the experience was stayng at this villa. You will love every minute of your stay!

Amazing stay and host

We loved our time at podere lo Spadino. Barbara is a perfect host. Greeted us on arrival. Was super nice, gracious and friendly. The villa is even better than expected. Spacious, clean, amazing views. We had two breakfasts and one dinner prepared by the host and participated in a cooking class which was fun and delicious. The food and wine was all great. We hope to go back again one day and stay longer. There were four private bedrooms and baths and beautiful living space and kitchen. Highly recommend this villa for a magical vacation close to San Gimignano and other great Tuscan towns.

Fabulous Villa!!

We cannot say enough good things about Barbara and her family’s villa. We had such an amazing stay here and our kids were begging us to stay longer! The Villa is even more beautiful than the pictures. The views of San Gimignano and the surrounding hillsides were spectacular. We loved the gazebo area with outdoor dining table and the pool area. We had unseasonably cool weather which allowed us to sleep with the windows open. Barbara cooked an amazing dinner for us on our first night and then we did the cooking class later during our stay. These were some of our most memorable moments during our trip. This Villa is truly a treasure and I hope that we get to stay here again sometime in the future. Barbara is an amazing host and we would recommend her family’s villa to anyone.

Heaven in Tuscany

Myself husband and one other couple and a friend. Our stay at the Villa was spectacular, We could not ask for a more Beautiful and relaxing location and close to anywhere you wanted to go Barbara our host treated us like family. Barbara made breakfast everyday and dinner 2 nights which was one our highlight when it came to food. We also had a cooking class which was so much fun and food incredible. I am planning on returning in a couple of years with family when my Grandson is older. I give this beautiful location and Barbara the host a 10 in rating************* grace. Stay May 6,2023

Wonder Villa and Great Host

This is a really lovely and well equipped villa. The views are amazing. The host was absolutely lovely. It is a little challenging to find at first as the road is a long dirt road off the main road. Barbara was nice to meet us and direct us in. It is also somewhat remove (4 km from town) but an easy drive. The villa itself was just as described. The rooms were very nicely furnished. The bathrooms in each were large and comfortable. For three couples, it was ideal. We had a cooking lesson and dinner for my birthday and the food was excellent and the experience really fun. This was a good value and a wonderful stay.

Absolutely Beautiful

This beautiful property is a labor of love, hand built by the family and it shows. You couldn't asks for a more incredible location and host. Barbara (host) is friendly and was a real pleasure to talk with. She offers an in-home cooking class and offers a meal service. We took the cooking class and loved it. We made a hand made pasta, a ragu, a very good steak and a delicious Tiramisu. We also took her up on the breakfast option and we loved it. During this stay, our Son took advantage of a beautiful spot on the property to propose to his now fiancée. Lots and lots of wonderful memories made here.

Birthday celebration in Tuscany

This was my first time in Italy and our stay at this gorgeous villa was perfect! From the beautiful surroundings to the excellent accommodations, we couldn't have asked for anything more. Each of my guests commented on how wonderful it was to have their own private bedroom, with the most comfortable beds, and private bath and my granddaughter was thrilled with her "princess" bedroom in the loft. The villa was immaculate, well equipped, beautifully furnished and had the most amazing view. There wasn't one thing lacking. The owners are right on site to answer any questions but stay out of site so it feels like no one else is there but you and your quests. To top it all off, Barbara, the owner, is an amazing cook. She made us breakfast on our first morning there and also dinner for my birthday celebration complete with a homemade cake. These meals were outstanding and if you stay at this villa you must have her cook a meal for you. You won't regret it. And make sure you drink their wine. I think it's the best in Italy!I can't wait to go back to this gorgeous place and can't recommend it enough. Don't even think about it, just GO!
