“The room was clean. I emptied the dehumidifier in my room after 24 hrs, you could almost smell the mold. I wouldn't stay too long. We were there two nights. They need to fix that problem but the place was clean and staff were very nice.”

“The night time lady checking us in was not friendly and acted like we were bothering her. My husband went back down to ask if they had vending machines because we hadn’t eaten dinner and she couldn’t be bothered to get off her chair and just pointed.”

“The television and anything associated to it, were not working properly from the time we got there. When asked at the front desk about the problem, response was that regular TV never works properly, try TUBI. The air conditioner could not be dialed in properly to a comfortable temperature. Either too muggy or too cold.”

“The swimming pool setup was awkward from our room had to go across a parking lot and when we first entered the room was a little musty but once we turned on the air the smell went away. All in all very nice. The hotel has invested a lot of money in the outside area. Would definitely recommend and gladly stay there again”

“The toilet didn't flush, big red stain on the carpet, the television made a popping noise, and the smoking room smelt discussing. I couldn't sleep because of the smell and the toilet and shower was old and looked dirty.”

“I am from Madison and always look forward to staying with the Hillside and staff. Everyone is always very nice. Now the building is old so you have to accept some of the blemishes. My recommendation is stay in the winter when all the leaves have fallen and at night you can look down the street and watch the snow fall then go walking down main late at night it’s so peaceful and quite all you hear is the snow falling.”
