Drive or walk around the northern side of the strip of land, which is dotted with scenic lakes. Enjoy the excellent views of the water features and the northern bay. Stroll through the Sandestin Baytowne Marina and pick out your favorite from the exclusive yachts and boats.
Golf is one of the main leisure activities in the area, which previously hosted the Boeing Championship at Sandestin. Practice your swing at Raven Golf Club, set against a marvelous backdrop of forests and lakes. Much of the town is centered on Sandestin Golf Resort, 2,400 acres (970 hectares) of terrain that is considered a gated city. Make your way through the 30 neighborhoods, featuring swimming pools, tennis courts and hotel buildings.
Find the neighborhood on a narrow peninsula jutting out from the northwestern coastline of Florida, not far from the Alabama border. Fly to Pensacola International Airport or Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport and rent a car to get here.
