Beautiful views, wonderful home, great owner!

Our stay at this home was absolutely wonderful. The owners were very communicative from start to finish. Let me start with the house - it is exactly as described, includes everything they list, is spacious, has parking for 2 cars, and has an outstanding view. The pool is 2 min away. It is close to the beach and the town. The owners were very responsive to any questions and, when we had a mishap at the airport and checked in late, were very accommodating.They left us basic necessities (coffee, bread, fruits, etc) which made us feel very welcome.Carmen, the housekeeper, was very helpful (Thank you!).We would definitely return if given the opportunity. I recommend it for a very relaxing stay at the Costa Brava.

Perfect house

9.5 of 10!!!

We had a great stay at Maremar. The views were terriffic, the house comfortable and well maintained, the terrace was ideal for enjoying leasurely breakfasts, excellently designed shower in the master bathroom, very quiet at night, many good restaurants in town, close to the beach, Girona, and just over an hours drive to Barcelona and Camp Nou. One point to be aware of is that the house is at the top of a hill, so a car is essential. The weather was in the low 20s (Celcius) most of the time and very comfortable - and there were even a few people (Scandanavians?) swimming in the ocean. We can highly recommend staying here and even our children gave it 9.5 out of 10. Thank you, Peter and Lucy.

San Feliu in September

The house is lovely, well equipped for self catering, comfortable, clean and very well maintained. We were so excited when we saw it for the first time, we arrived after dark so in the morning were stunned by the views. The location is wonderful, sea views from the house’s patio, even better from the top floor and literally 4 houses down from the quiet private pool!! Being above the main town the house and area are peaceful, but it doesn't take long to be in the thick of things. The owner provided information on the house and surrounding area and was more than helpful! September is lovely, still more than warm enough to swim and the added bonus of Catalonia day and celebrations if you time it right. As for San Feliu itself, everything you want, lots of restaurants, bars shops, banks, regular markets and not overly touristy. The beach is spectacular and a ride on the tourist train a must if you have kids or to get a idea of the main drag and next town. We loved eating at the Casino where the local older men go to play cards and dominoes or on special occasions, El Dorado. We did day trips to Barcelona and Girona (where the airport is) by bus with no trouble and wanted to go to the Dali museum in Figures but ran out of time- or more truthfully wanted to relax at the house and pool more!!. I have already recommended the house to friends and family and will definitely go back myself.

Wir hatten einen traumhaften Urlaub!

Wir haben hier 14 wunderbare Tage verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig, hervorragend ausgestattet und vollständig klimatisiert – ideal für heiße Sommertage.Die Aussicht auf das Meer ist atemberaubend, und der großzügige Pool liegt idyllisch eingebettet in einer gepflegten Gartenanlage. Besonders angenehm: Der Pool war nie überfüllt und lud jederzeit zum Entspannen ein.Der Vor-Ort-Service durch Carmen war erstklassig – freundlich und hilfsbereit.Einziger kleiner Wermutstropfen waren für uns die recht harten Matratzen – das ist aber sicher Geschmackssache.

Wonderful!

Our stay was wonderful in every way. The house and deck spaces were very well equipped. In fact, we were there during a recent blackout but did not have any worries as the house was equipped with flashlights and candles. If we wanted it, it was there. The nearby walking trails through the woods and along the coastline were delightful to explore.

Perfect family holiday in a great location

Perfect. We had a lovely family holiday in Maremar. The communication from Peter and Lucy was excellent throughout. The house exceeded our expectation and the views were amazing. Maremar was a great base to explore all that Girona and the Costa Brava has to offer. I would not hesiste to book again when returning to this area.

Exceptional Property!

Our family of (4) had a wonderful time staying in this home away from home. It had everything you would need to have a relaxing vacation. The view of the sea was perfect. The location was very safe and clean. Everything we needed was a short drive (or longer walk) away. The town was fun and just vibrant enough for us. We were able to do activities during the day and have a comfortable place to relax at night. The kitchen was stocked with essentials that made cooking much easier (no need to bring your own salt and pepper! or any seasoning! :). Peter and Lucy were always available if needed and Carmen was super helpful as well. Truly a gem! Would highly recommend!

Practical Paradise

We spent a month at Maremar. Our only complaint is that our stay wasn't long enough. We can't wait to come back! Peter and Lucy are fabulous hosts and the property manager, Carmen, is wonderful to work with. On the practical side the home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It's far enough from the center of towm to be peaceful but close enough to walk to the market. The location was perfect for day trips throughout the area. It's paradise! The views from the home are spectacular. San Feliu de Guixols is charming with so many places to visit and eat. We hiked for hours in the woods just outside the door. The location made it easy to travel to breathtaking destinations all along the coast and inland. We came in the off-season yet there was so much to do and see, that we were busy every day. We can't recommend Maremar and Peter and Lucy highly enough!

Perfect in November

We stayed 8 nights at Maremar and spent our days exploring Sant Feliu de Guixols and the villages along the Costa Brava. We loved Sant Feliu the most and could see ourselves coming back for extended stays. The home was very comfortable, clean, and nicely furnished. The location was excellent in both its proximity for walking to town and being in a quiet, private neighborhood. We spent hours on the patio in the mornings drinking our coffee and enjoying the view of the Mediterranean.

Family Retreat

We loved everything about this place. The views were spectacular. The house was extremely clean and the four bedrooms and three baths provided all we needed as a family. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything one needed to cook well. Our communication with the owners could not have been better. They literally made every step as welcoming and easy as possible. Also everything functioned perfectly. And we felt fully secure. Also a great location for touring in this area. When we next return to the Costa Brava region we will definitely check this out to see if it is available. We would love to stay here again.

Amazing house in beautiful location

We loved this house. The views are spectacular. Peter and Lucy were such attentive hosts. Carmen the housekeeper kept the place spotless and made us very welcome. I can’t think of a better rental experience in 30 years of holiday lets. The house is very well appointed - everything worked - and Sant Feliu is a proper Spanish town - not just a tourist resort. We can’t wait to return. Ten out of ten!

Bereits bevor wir angereist sind, wurden wir exzellent über das Haus und den Urlaubsort informiert und betreut. Das Haus selber ist sehr gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Der Blick auf das Meer ist überwältigend und lässt einen den Urlaub von Anfang an genießen.

Traumhafter Aufenthalt

Wir haben eine unvergessliche Woche in dem traumhaften Ferienhaus verbracht. Es war einfach großartig! Die Lage des Hauses mit dieser atemberaubenden Aussicht auf das Meer hat uns jeden Morgen aufs Neue verzaubert. Wir bedauern, kein Fernglas dabei gehabt zu haben. Das Ferienhaus selbst ist bis ins kleinste Detail geschmackvoll und durchdacht eingerichtet. Es fehlte uns wirklich an nichts, und die Sauberkeit war beeindruckend. Selbst an dem einen Regentag, den wir hatten, haben wir uns im Haus pudelwohl gefühlt. Lucy und Peter sind tolle Gastgeber! Dank ihrer herzlichen Gastfreundschaft und der unglaublich netten Gesten, wie der Geburtstagstorte für unsere Tochter, haben wir uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Die vielen positiven Bewertungen haben vollkommen Recht. Wir möchten uns ganz herzlichen für alles bedanken, Lucy und Peter!

Absolument parfait

Maison très bien située, au calme avec une vue exceptionnelle sur la méditerannée. Tout le confort nécessaire et plus encore. La piscine communautaire est très grande et jamais surchargée. Nous l'avons plusieurs fois eue pour nous tout seul. Peter et Lucy (et carmen) sont aux petits soins et feront tout pour que vous passiez d'agréables vacances. A très bientôt !

Luxury family holiday home with stunning views

The house is in a beautiful setting, up on the cliffs with a breath-taking sea view. The owners have thought of every comfort - airy rooms, high quality bed linens and fluffy towels, fully equipped and spacious kitchen. The communal pool is in an idyllic green space surrounded by pine trees. It is an easy walk (downhill) into St Feliu itself, with its sandy beach, crystal clear sea and wide range of restaurants, markets and shops, and activities. Communication with the hosts was excellent, we highly recommend this holiday stay.

Fabulous villa in a stunning location. Great communication from Peter and Lucy. The villa is really well kitted out and gives you that home from home feeling. Really nice to meet Carmen and chat with her. If we could give it a six star we would.

Cosy and beautiful apartment

We enjoyed very relaxing week in Maremar with our family. The apartment is very spacious in three levels, but it feels very cosy at the same time. Everything is maintained and decorated beautifully, the beds are comfort, three bathrooms spotlessly clean (as the whole house) and the kitchen is functional and equipped with everything you need. We appreciated highly that there were some basic foodstuffs for cooking, so you don't need to buy everything from the start. Then there were very nice welcoming pack (bread, coffee, juice, eggs...) so first thing was not to run to the shop, but to sit and enjoy the views. They had also noticed my husband's 60th birthday! Arriving to the house was quite easy, because we had very good information from Peter and Lucy (as about everything...) Lovely Carmen was waiting for us at the house. She doesn,t speak any english but it didn't bother our communication. Carmen was so nice. The views are truly beautiful. The pictures doesn't show the highness properly. At the latest you realise that, when you visit town following lovely paths. Climbing back to the house is a short challenge. But we liked it and went every day by foot to the town centre. Forest and paths were one reason why we chose this place, because we love to walk. And of course there is possibility to go the town by car, only five minutes. If I should mention one minus point, it would be the loud wind on couple of nights. But the high scenery costs something. And it's worth it!

traumhaftes Ferienhaus

Uns ist besonders wichtig die Fürsorge um unser Wohl in jeder Form des Aufenthaltes hervorzuheben. Besonders war, dass wichtige Lebensmittel für die ersten Tage bereit gestellt waren, der freundliche Empfang, wunderbare Handtücher liebevoll drapiert. Das Wetter war nicht so schön, umso wichtiger war der Genuss dieses schönen Hauses mit Heizung und Kamin jeden Tag wieder. Einziger Nachteil war, dass der Strand für uns nur mit großer Mühe erreichbar war. Eine Minute zum Strand wäre nur in freiem Fall möglich gewesen.

Absolutely amazing

We would most definitely recommend Maremar, set in the most stunning scenery and views. Peter and Lucy have been amazing hosts from start to finish. We all really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely return at some point.
