"The last time we stayed at this hotel was over 20 years ago and we always had fond memories and loved the location. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the rooms have undergone a recent renovation and have a very nice, welcoming and cosy vibe. It's updated without resorting to hard grey laminate floors everywhere that's the trend these days (makes me feel like I'm staying in an office or empty museum: cold and harsh sound). This room wasn't large and yet didn't feel cramped at all. Just about perfect really. The only caveat worth mentioning is that we had a corner room overlooking State Street on one side, and the noise from the nearby bars was occasionally pretty loud. It doesn't let up until 2:00 am. I kinda enjoyed it, but I didn't have anywhere to rush off to the next day. If you know noise will prevent you from getting a good night sleep, just be sure to avoid the State Street facing rooms."

"It would be 5 stars except the room we were given was way smaller than the images we had when booking. Had the deluxe room (king) with the garden patio. We had roughly 2-3 feet of space to move around the bed. Other than that, people/location/vibe were great!!"

"Marina Beach is small but I found it a pleasant place to stay. The room is small but what is offered in-room is big: kitchenette, etc. The staff couldn't be nicer. I've stayed at very high end hotels where the staff makes me want to cancel my reservation. Here, they make one feel like they're glad we are here and they want to make our stay the best."
