Small, simple and nice
Pros: -Great location on the Mesa of Santa Barbara, close to the beach, shopping and restaurants -Gorgeous fenced-in backyard for dog -Quiet (other than some noisy neighbors the last couple of nights) -Easy parking -Excellent customer service with VRBO with easy-to-follow check-in instructions -They allowed me to check in early -Clean -Safe neighborhood Cons -Outdated appliances with no dishwasher or coffee maker (there was a tiny French press). Few utensils. -Old architecture. This is not a new place. It is a bit run down. -Thin walls. We could hear the people in the main house yelling at each other for two nights. -Very scratchy bed sheets and pillowcases in the main bedroom. -We could not get the heat to work (but to be fair, we did not contact VRBO because we kept thinking it was something we were doing wrong). We never did figure it out.
