We booked a 3-day stay at Seaside Inn & Suites for our first ever visit to Santa Cruz. Unfortunately, the room we were given was not consistent with the photos of this property on Expedia and lacked basic amenities. The bedside tables had no lamps nor were there wall reading lamps; the only lighting in the room was very bright ceiling lights. When I asked if we could be moved to another room that had bedside lights, the manager said there was no other room available. His solution was to bring a lamp, but there was no accessible electric outlet on my side of the bed and he had to plug it in on my husband's side. When my husband plugged his phone charger into the same outlet, the lamp went out. The A/C and heating wall unit was leaking water onto the floor. The manager saw the water and wiped it up with dirty looking rags which he then left under the unit. Lastly, the bathroom and shower were very small and lacked a light in the shower. Due to these issues we checked out after one night. Expedia handled our complaint promptly and satisfactorily.

Horrible experience. My mistake for going off of the good reviews that obviously pop up first when looking for rooms. I went through all before my stay and realized I made a huge mistake booking this place! Stains on ‘clean towels,’ noticed some stains on the bedding smell like if someone had been smoking in there even though we booked a ‘non smoking room’ Bathroom wasn’t even fully clean what looks like mold possibly in the bathroom or just dirty! Plus, the door handle to get into my room itself was a little off as all of the other rooms doors had a cover over the key hole since the room opens with the card key. Just looked suspicious to me, especially traveling as a single parent with kids. Bathtub wouldn’t drain, had to wait 10 mins in between showers to drain! As soon as we walked into the room there was a musty smell + cigarette smell. perfect reminder for myself to ALWAYS check the reviews!

I checked in late at night, front desk did not want to let my fiance and I check in, I provided all my information because she did not have hers they did not want to let us stay. This made no sense to me as everywhere I have ever stayed does not require identification for other occupants staying. Regardless they said it was property and did not want to issue me a refund.

My friends and I stayed in a 2 queen bed room and it was very spacious. The motel is quiet. Bed was comfortable, but the base was made of metal and could be squeaky when you got on or off the bed. The hair dryer didn't work well so bring your own. There is no pool which was fine because it was cold and rainy. The price was very reasonable. I slept well for 3 nights there. Not a fancy place but nice and comfortable.

Easy to find, a lot of construction workers staying there. There multiple places where there was vomit in the parking lot. The rooms were clean but you can hear everything from the other rooms. As a family I will not be staying there again.

The check-in process was mediocre at best. We were uncharged $11 per child since they weren’t on the Expedia reservation. We asked for more pillows and they did end up being them but originally told us 4 people in room and 4 pillows saying there were no more in the hotel. Even though two of th pillows looked to be more decorative. Rooms are good. Beds okay. Shower is fine. Nothing special. Good location (close to mystery spot and the board walk and downtown). Will definitely be trying something different next time we stay in Santa Cruz.

This hotel was not as advertised. The parking area seemed sketchy with shattered vehicle glass on the ground. The room had a terrible odour and we could not bring ourselves to stay there. Don’t be fooled by the reviews.

Parking was easy. The staff were very unfriendly and unprofessional. Anticipate extra charges that were not listed, I got questioned about the number of guests and their age (apparently if they were under 18 that was not ok). The room was fine, floors were a tad dirty but nothing too bad.
