My wife and I planned to stay here with our two children aged 2 and 6 months.
We arrived within the allowed check in times to the reception but was closed advising they were closed between 12-3pm ( has we known we would have not rushed there with the kids) resulting in us sitting in the car for over and hour!
Upon check in, no one spoke English, we paid the deposit as insisted in cash, we then had to pay further for towels and bedding and an extra to upgrade the room.
No one offered to help me carry the two travel cots we had hired, all the bedding and towels. Which resulted in 4 trips back and forth.
No lifts and we were on the second floor! Which was impossible with suitcases and pushchairs.
The room was fine, but very basic and poorly finished. No kettle in the room or available to hire. Nothing at in the room i.e toilet paper, soap etc
When I say there is nothing to do in the local area I really mean it! Most of the restaurants and shops were closed, opposite was a spar shop and pizzeria and a couple of restaurants near the beach front that all sell the exactly same food. Apart from that there really is nothing close by to do or see.
The pool was freezing, not child friendly or safe with young children.
The beach was dirty and again not child friendly.
Imagine your camping in a basic, depressing cold, cloudy site but have four walls and a bed and you get the idea.
It was that bad we cut our holiday short after just two days and found flights home.
The staff did nothing to help, nor willing to refund the money paid for the upgraded room which was charged at a nightly rate.
Be warned and don’t bother wasting your money or time. To be honest I would be reluctant to return to Corsica with young children and stick to Greek or Spanish islands that are geared up for families and make you feel welcome!
