This is our second time staying in one of the Bungalows at Seagrove (previously we stayed at a different one which wasn't available at this time). We absolutely love the location and its amenities. It is very close to the beach, perfect location to everything between Panama Beach and Destin. Excellent choice for families.
This particular bungalow served its purpose but wasn't outstanding at all. Although, I must quickly add that Brook is very helpful and super quick to respond to messages almost at any time of day.
Here is where it fell short of our expectations:
- although we knew it only had standard beds for 4, we would have liked if the larger room had a king size bed, even better if it had a large bunk bed. Many other units are able to sleep 3-5 people in this room. It would have been great if the 5th person didn't have to sleep downstairs.
- cleanliness wasn't perfect either. I understand the sand and all, but I think at least right after cleaning the unit, the floor should have been clean, free of sand and not sticky.
- not a big deal most would think but the knives (all of them) needs to be professionally sharpened. They are pretty much useless unless you want to cut strawberries. I reported this but I am afraid Brook isn't aware how bad they are and no, a kitchen sharpener will not do the trick.
I know it wouldn't require a lot of investment to make any stay a WOW vacation.
We will return but would most likely choose a different unit.
