We love staying at the 17Hundred90! We never stay anywhere else. The staff is so friendly! Make sure you hang out in the tavern for awhile. The atmosphere is amazing!

This was a wonderful place to stay, plus the bar food and atmosphere was excellent! It's a very old inn, so while walls and corners may not be straight (if you're looking for that), the ambience and feeling of being linked to the past was just what I wanted.

Unfortunately our experience here was extremely disappointing. It’s a cool old building and in a nice location but someone on staff stole my silk travel pillow slip. As soon as I realized that I had forgotten it I called the hotel and was told that they could ship it to me for a $25 fee which I was willing to pay as it cost substantially more to replace it. About 10 minutes later the Manager called me and said that they couldn’t find it. Really? So I guess it peeled itself off of the pillow and disappeared by itself - I don’t think so!!! Thankfully it wasn’t an irreplaceable piece of jewelry (there was no safe in our room). Having a staff member steal something is an automatic fail in my opinion. On top of that the electrical socket in our bathroom didn’t work so I had to ask for a different hair dryer as the one in the bathroom wouldn’t reach the jimmy rigged extension cord in the main room. The bed was uncomfortable, particularly for my husband as it sagged on his side causing him to roll to the middle. They use scented laundry soap and/or dryer sheets which I am allergic to so I was very itchy during our 3 night stay. We travel a lot, about 1/3 of the year and I rarely have this problem as most hotels and even Air B&Bs these days try to keep things hypoallergenic. And when we checked in we weren’t shown how to use the heater remote so our third night there when the temperature dropped dramatically we froze all night. All in all it was a pretty uncomfortable experience.

this is a wonderful Hotel to stay in. It is walking distance to so many places including the great Savannah Smiles and the river walk area. We parked our car Friday and didn't use it until Sunday when we left. I recommend this Hotel

Staff was great and I enjoyed my stay. There was a significant issue with the first room, which I really do suggest that they give it more love and care as the second room they moved me to was much better. Just a suggested, such as repainting the walls so there isn't dark stains on it and ceiling the hardwood floors. Hope to stay there again soon but I definitely will not pick the first room again.

Loved this space! It felt like what I imaged Savannah was. We loved staying there, and the restaurant was delicious! They were very attentive and I would happily stay here again.

The bar at the hotel was great! Our free drink, provided with our hotel stay, was the gateway to a wonderful meal. The food was delicious and the staff were great The bar and restaurant were both very busy on a Sunday night. We didn't have reservations for the restaurant so we ate at the bar. We would love to eat in the restaurant at another Savannah visit. The first impression of the hotel room was a musty smell. We have stayed at many historic properties, this smell was a first for us. Other things that were noted with our stay were that there were no windows in the room, the furniture was a bit "tired" looking, the chandelier was missing quite a few lightbulbs and the bathroom toilet moved everytime when used, as if it was loose or uneven. The lack of windows was not a deal breaker, it just wasn't expected. We opened the room door to help with the smell. The bed was comfy. Sleep was okay but there was a continual sound of water draining in the wall. We both commented on that in the morning. I did mention this to the front desk. We would most certainly go back to eat at the restaurant or bar. However, the hotel would not be our first choice for future accommodations when in Savannah.
