Great time at the Idler

We had a great stay at the Idler with our family and my daughter’s dog! The house itself was plenty of room for 4 adults and could have easily accommodated more. The bedrooms were all comfortable with ample closet space. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you need to make meals. Living room had plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. Really loved the enclosed porch with a dining table, comfy chairs and couch along with a ceiling fan! The house is in a nice neighborhood that was great for walking our pup. We were also in walking distance to Salt Island Restaurant and some other bars and Sugar Shack for ice cream. Lastly we were a 3 minute walk to the 2nd street beach entrance to the mid beach area. Even on Saturday and Sunday that section of the beach wasn’t crowded. The distance to the beach made it perfect for those that wanted to head back from beach early or to grab lunch and then head back to beach. Our only criticism would be that the WiFi isn’t strong, as seems the case on the island, so if you plan to do remote work you will want to have a hotspot. If we come back to Tybee we will be back at the Idler!

Perfect location & home!!

This was our first visit to Tybee Island and won’t be our last! From the seamless check in process to the quick walks (within 2 blocks) to the beach, restaurants and ice cream, everything about this house was perfect! The home itself is so cozy and the screened in porch is where we chilled the most, doing puzzles nonstop. The kitchen is fully stocked and the beds are super comfortable. I can’t say enough good things about this home!!

Perfect location!

If you plan on spending most of your time on the beach, this house is perfect! 3 minute walk to the beach and several restaurants and 3 ice cream shops. I loved that this wasn’t as crowded as the rest of the island. I love Tybee Vacation Rentals! They are polite and tried to be accommodating. I didn’t give this as many stars because the house really showed it’s age. Check in was at 4. They got there at 2 to clean and do maintenance—not enough time to get it all done. I had issues with the dishwasher. I was given a GC and paper plates, utensils, and cups. The dishwasher wasn’t fixed and I ended up washing dishes by hand my last night there. I wouldn’t plan on cooking because the kitchen is bare bones. Plan on eating out and reheating left overs. There is no proper master suite. All the bedrooms share one bathroom. The second bathroom is downstairs. The upstairs bathroom shows it’s age. I will say we loved the outdoor space! We spent lots of time on the time covered porch upstairs.

Great location and set up

We really enjoyed this property. The kitchen was well stocked and there were supplies for laundry/dishes. The screened porch was great. They had a nice grill and fire pit, even providing wood. And, it was just a couple blocks from the beach.

The idler property

It was okay but wouldn’t stay at this property again. Showers had mildew bottom of walls. Baseboards were filthy. Behind doors was filthy. Screens torn out on porch. Neighbors dogs barked at night.

Great Location!!

Very comfortable property within easy walking distance to the public beach, stores, and restaurants. We did have an issue with our stove and called for help. The maintenance man showed up within 15 minutes of my phonecall and it was fixed immediately!

Great home, terrible neighbors

The home was great. Clean, good location to beach and well cared for. The big issue is the neighbors dogs. They are right next door and bark constantly. Day and night. Don’t plan to sleep or enjoy quiet evenings at this location.

Pet Friendly Honeymoon Getaway

Me and my husband stayed here with our dogs for our honeymoon and had an amazing time! The previous renters had left a ton of trash that started to stink and we called the rental agency and they got someone out to collect the trash. The two houses next door both have dogs and the barking did wake us up two mornings other then that no complaints.

Perfect Birthday weekend

Tybee Island is a central meeting place for my two married children and my wife and me. The house was exactly as advertised and perfect for our family getaway.

Feel at home.

This is a very clean well set up property. The 3 bedrooms were great as our teenage girls each got there own room. Very comfortable porch to rest outside. Short walk to the nearest beach. We could easily ride bikes to any location on the Island. Enjoyed the more North location as it is a quieter less densely populated area than the south end. There are a few great restaurants within 5 minute walk. Nice walk or ride to North Beach and the light house, our favorite area. There were 2 very nice parks a short walk away. You will hear the dogs next door a couple times a day but it was not a problem at all. Definitely recommend for a great stay with family of 4 and our dog we had plenty of room.

We idled at the Idler

Very nice place with everything we needed. There was no Bathroom that was attached to any of the bedrooms and pics did not indicate that there was no door to the washroom in hallway. This cut down on privacy but if it was something we were super concerned about, we would have checked on it prior to booking. The barking dogs next door were pretty bad. This is something the owner of our property has no control over and they did not start barking until about 7 am.

Great getaway

Great location for a beach getaway. House was equipped with everything that we needed. The location allows for an easy stroll to the beach. Very comfortable inside with nice large televisions. Our pup enjoyed the doggie door to screened porch. A couple of things that need attention are the landscaping and the downstairs toilet flush valve.

Great location

This house was great for our family of five. Our first time to Tybee island and this house was perfect! Walking distance to the beach, comfortable, and clean. The second story deck was great for family dinners. Spacious kitchen and really comfortable beds. Twenty minutes form Savannah...rebooking in next year. A true gem!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
