This was the perfect place for my family to be this Thanksgiving. Close to everything, we made so many amazing memories! We also loved that the host sent us messages checking in and answering any questions we had in a timely manner.

4 of us women stayed in this beautiful house with so much southern charm! The house is so big, we each had our own room. Location was so easy to call a ride service and less than 10 minutes to everywhere we went in Savannah. The communication and details with the property manager was excellent!!

This is a great historical property in a great location. There were several little things that need to be fixed Most of the ceiling fans lights cldnt be turned off while the fan was on. Upstairs bathroom door knob is brokeTwo guests got trapped in lol. All in all we wld stay here again.

Great location,very roomy and loved the history,plenty of personal space. The TV remotes needed batteries, some of the lamps did not work, there were 7 of us and only 5 forks in the kitchen, the ironing board was broken. One bed upstairs had a bad mattress, sunken center. The electrical in the upstairs shower needs attention, the toilet door handle stuck bad, couldn't shut it. Over we enjoyed it.

A great stop for friends gathering

This is a lovely home in a wonderful part of Savannah. Great for a gathering of old friends - there were 7 of us. The pool was lovely and is a real benefit with hot weather.

Savannah Family Trip

This beautiful house was in the historic district of Savannah. The house and private pool lived up to the pictures and description of the property. The owners wete in contact with us and were easy to contact. The location is great and within walking distance of restaurants and Savannah attractions. I highly recommend this amazing house to stay in when in Savannah!

Family vacation

Very cool historical house in gorgeous neighborhood one block from Forsyth park. House has four spacious bedrooms well appointed. Plenty of additional space w living and dining room. Large outside shaded patio. Close to grocery and plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

Great group getaway spot

Diplomat House was perfect for our family group to celebrate a special birthday. Location near Forsyth Park was great. Outdoor space & pool along with 3 baths /4 bedrooms with large gathering areas gave everyone space to do what they needed.

Charming vacation rental

A lovely older home with lots of character. It is old and the floors are not level but we are from New England and love antique homes. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Perfect location at beginning of Forsythe Park. We walked 4 miles every day to River St and back.

Friend’s annual trip

We loved the property. The proximity to Forsyth Park was great. We booked the Old Town Trolley for two days and were able to board at the park. Garage and pool were great perks. We spent the hot afternoons poolside.

Great location, great historical charm, pool is awesome house needs work.

This house is perfectly located for everything you want to do in Savannah and you feel like a resident when you’re staying there. Access to the park in downtown is great and the pool is certainly a bonus. A toilet was broken when we got there and we couldn’t use it for practically the whole day and many of the chairs and other furniture. Outside was not usable. The hood in the kitchen did not work, which let us to setting off the fire detector one day. The management company did a great job working with us and again overall it’s worth staying there. You just need to be aware of what you’re getting and Enjoy what it offers.

So much history

I really wish we could have been given information on the history of the house, you could tell that many stories had happened there. There was so much character in the building. We loved walking to the park, every evening after we were done sightseeing. It was a great location. The only problem we had was there were no trash bags.

Great for girlfriends get-away

Beautiful home with plenty of room for larger group with a very nice pool. Loved the back patio area for playing games in the evening. Perfect location to the park that had many activities and easy access to the Dot, grocery store etc. Highly recommend staying here. We had a few issues with the internet, which was addressed immediately. We noted but didn't report a few things that could be should be reviewed by the management company: all the bedroom fans need to be checked to ensure all of the chains work and need to be tightened to not rattle, the kitchen needs more than 1 towel and 1 pot holder and the light above the stove is out. We were a group of 4 women spending the week in Savannah and we really did love the house. Just needs a walk through by the management company.

Beautiful Little Inn

We originally booked a different Southern Belle managed house, but found out the day before check-in that it was damaged from the tropical storm. They were great with communication, and offered us three other homes they manage for us to choose from at no additional cost. The house was beautiful and was a perfect fit for our girls' trip weekend. The bedroom on the top floor was very hot upon our arrival (Savannah in August, to be expected), but there were only 6 of us, so we did not have to use that room during our stay. Everything was clean and well-stocked. We did a few puzzles, and enjoyed gathering around the dining room table to play games. A representative from Southern Belle checked in during our stay to make sure all was good, and they sent a handyman out to look at the front door and the kitchen faucet. Great communication, and great place to stay!

Savannah Spring Break

Our inter-generational family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the diplomat house. The house is very large with space for the entire family. Although there are a few things that could be addressed (rusted shower/bath fixtures and unsecured kitchen drawers), the house is in great condition for an older home of its size. The location is perfect for anyone looking for a slower Savannah experience (think less noise, night traffic, gated back patio) with quick accessibility to the historic city center. The spot is also great for those with pets, as Forsyth Park sits right outside the door and a nearby dog park is just over 1 mile away. Additionally the amenities are tough to beat in a house for a family. The pool, multiple tvs, enclosed courtyard, bus stop to the free DOT, and just inside the Downtowner pick-up area. I can't recommend the Diplomat house enough for families and groups.

Delightful abode

Well card for, scenic, & great location for all areas of Savannah. Parking was always available but getting out of the garage from inside was a challenge. Someone has to walk around from front door. Otherwise easily accessible. Enjoyed location & walk ability to a lot of places. Had some electrical issues but come out twice in one day & fixed that as well as Broken slats on one of upstairs bed. A couple of king beds to replace 2 of the queens would have been even nice. The bathroom attached to bedroom was minuscule & difficult to shower in that small phone booth size shower. Very impressive response to work request All in all we enjoyed the stay & worked well for our family enjoyed the pool & house.

Looks NOTHING like the pictures!!!

We came to Savannah for a family vacation and to us location was key! We had 2 little boys ages (5 &3) so we thought a pool would be great. When we arrived at the Diplomat house, it looked run down, nothing like the pictures posted. There was barbed wire running along the fence in the backyard, and I would say the surrounding areas were not the greatest. The house is very old, the furniture was old and dirty, and not somewhere we would have wanted to sit and visit with our family. We found a cockroach in one of the rooms, which I know is common in the south but usually can be taken care of. The pool area was where we spent the majority of our time. It was nice to sit outside, the pool was very chilly but refreshing. There was a camera out by the pool, everyone knows what security cameras are used for, but when other people are staying at your property they should be turned off. Or we should have been made aware there were cameras. So basically we were being watched while swimming. I put a wash cloth over the camera when we were outside and the property manager came over to remove. Unfortunately we did not enjoy our stay, and was disappointed in the outcome.

Great location, fabulous pool, terrific layout for our family but house needs TLC.

Overall, we had a good time. The location was near places we wanted to visit. We appreciated having enough seating at the dining table and living room for everyone. We contacted Southern Belle Vacation Rentals about some issues. A cleaning issue was quickly resolved. Water closet had no light. The electrician SBVR sent the next day said that the fan/light had electrical issues and had to submit for approval to be fixed. He put 2 battery puck lights that were the only light source for the week. He also looked at the dishwasher because the dishes in the cupboards weren't clean nor the ones we ran through. There was nothing he could do because it was too old. He requested a replacement for approval. The kitchen was lacking. Needed a lighter to light the stove burners. Limited flatware, 1 stemmed wine glass and 3 stemless. No potholders. Bathrooms and kitchen needed a deep clean. The pool was great and the best feature! Plenty of outdoor seating but some cushions were dirty and/or torn with stuffing coming out. Some chairs had ragged, rusted steel on legs. One Adirondack chair was broken. The ensuite Mbath shower pan was cracked and broken and there was standing water in the corner all week. The paint on the wood toilet seat was worn off and looked gross. Too many other things to list.

Beautiful Home w/Potential; Needs Work; Pool Not Clean

This house has so much potential. As house flippers we’d love to get our hands on it. It has some fun features like the beautiful bedrooms and the history of the house. Some of the antique books were cool to look at. However we probably would not stay here again for a few reasons. The master bedroom cable wasn’t working. They offered to put a work order in but who wants to be concerned about either waiting around for the cable company or securing your belongings while they send a representative to be there with the cable company. We noticed a bunch of dirt in the pool. Called about it on Wednesday and they told us they’d contact the pool company but that they do service the pool on Thursdays. We were there until Sunday morning and they still never came. The kitchen needs some major help. While they had most of the essentials for cooking its a terrible layout and the cabinets are old and in bad shape. One of the drawers make a sound like nails on a chalk board when you open it. You could hear it throughout the whole house. Another odd thing we found was there are three rooms in the house that are locked. Owners suites. Lights were left on 24/7 in those rooms. There was also a broken article of furniture in almost every closet in the house. Master bath faucet was so hard to turn on and off all the way. Like I said, house needs work.

Annual family beach trip. Central location easy days drive for all of us. Loved the pool & ease to get to beach. Centrally located to everything we wanted to do. Family friendly! Only wish is that the upstairs & downstairs big bedrooms had queen or king sized beds. Had a well equipped kitchen. Adequately furnished living rooms with enough seating for all 8 of us
