“The hotel is a few minutes walk from Mallaig train station, and the ferry terminal. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants around the village so that one can easily get refreshments. I was amazed that the hotel is in a delicate traditional wooden decor, and has a relaxing garden terrace. I also enjoyed the window view a lot! The room was clean and it’s reception was excellent. I strongly recommend anyone who plan to visit any Hebrides islands, give the hotel a chance,.”

“It was hard to find staff, especially for lunch. Our room was down a weird warren of hallways up steps and down steps. The room and bathroom were attractive. The pillows were awful! They wouldn’t fluff. It was a heatwave when we were there. The cleaning staff left the heater on. I was hot and couldn’t sleep. There wasn’t a fan to help move the air. Dinner was expensive and bland. The shower was difficult to get in and out of.There were no extras in the bathroom you would expect from the price……

“This property was severely lacking for the price point. We have stayed in “ castles” before, so we know what to expect. Kincraig’s exterior looks dirty. The roof needs attention. There are missing slates. The windows need some type of weather seal to help keep moisture from coming in rooms. Our pillows and bedding were damp. The bedding was very poor. They did have a mattress cover, but instead of a fitted sheet, they used a flat sheet. The pillows were the worst! They were flat and didn’t……

From the extremely helpful and friendly staff, to the incredible breakfasts included with our room and the excellent dinners we purchased in the evenings, to the superb communication by hotel staff, and the clean and comfortable rooms…I will certainly be back in the future. I’d love to see whoever is running this business teach these principles of professionalism and attention to detail to larger chains because……

"一向對此品牌有信心，早前於Exeter，或更早於Maldives的都感覺良好，但今次的體驗實在太差了！ 此酒店地點非常之方便，就在high street 的未端，但對面就是酒吧和餐廳，昨晚酒吧的音樂根本令人不能入睡，到前台找經理投訴卻沒有回應，職員只說噪音問題一直存在，一直都有客人投訴！ 說實在的，這次Scotland旅程，這一晚酒店房間的價格是最貴的，但真是想不到貴左那裡，被安排住在一樓，當然入住時不知道還有噪音問題，面向的是城市景觀，到今早早餐時的餐廳，面向Loch Ness 河/湖景觀才醒覺預期入住和享受的體驗是完全沒有體會得到。 這樣的價錢，房間只屬一般，服務方面，昨晚投訴了，都沒有什麼回應，只說如果要換只有普通的房間，酒吧的噪音會持續到三點，但當時已經是凌晨一點。 這次體驗真的沒有很差，只有更差！ I have always trusted this brand with good experiences in Exeter and the Maldives, but this stay was extremely disappointing. The hotel location is convenient, but the bar across the street played loud music until 3 am, making it impossible to sleep. Staff admitted this has always been a problem, and there was no effective response when I complained at 1 am. This was the most expensive night of my Scotland trip, yet the room was average, and I did not get the quiet, comfortable stay I paid for. I only realized in the morning that the experience I expected was completely missing. Given the sleepless night and lack of proper service recovery, I am requesting a refund for this stay."
