“Wingrove House is a welcoming small hotel in the heart of the historic village of Alfriston, just off the South Downs Way. It has been sympathetically restored to make it a comfortable, modern hotel. The staff are friendly and the rooms are spotless. There is a comfortable lounge and I enjoyed sitting there with a book in the evening. Breakfast was also delicious and the restaurante service was great.”

“We had a great stay. The family room was excellent and our kids loved the heated outdoor pool which we used when in February! The staff were lovely and we appreciated the little touches like snacks to take on our walks and home baked cookies. We will definitely be back. ”

“We stayed there for 5 nights with our 2 teen girls joining over the weekend. Everything was really good: the hospitality, the room and bedding, breakfast, local restaurant guide and even the flush at the toilet. Parking was an issue after 8pm as usually all the closest parking lots would be full.”

“The overall was good, except the safety! There was a guy stalking on my floor. He knocked our door and eavesdropped on us.”

“Lovely room with see view. Very warm lucky had fan to use. Staff very friendly. Only negative looked like carpet could do with a good vacuum in some places, round windows and along skirting boards. Breakfast was plentiful in lovely surroundings. All in all nice hotel to spend our anniversary.”
