We had a pleasant stay. The house is lovely and in a beautiful, secluded location. But, there are definitely some things about it that are not ideal. Firstly, the hosts really should replace the lock box. It's very hard to figure out how to open it. And, the secondary lock box appeared to be broken. We never did figure out how to open it. Secondly, they should provide a note about finding the house because Google maps will not actually take you to there. You have to continue past the location Google takes you to in order to find the driveway that leads up to the house. A sign at the end of the drive way would also be helpful as this was incredible confusing for my senior relatives who were ahead of us and who wound up wandering in the woods in the rain at night trying to find the house. And, then they couldn't figure out how to get the lock box open, so that was not a great start to the stay. We didn't use the washing machine, so can't comment on that, but I want to second what others said about the hot water. There is not enough for two people to shower back-to-back. Also, regarding the carpets, the downstairs area smells of pee. I think many wouldn't notice it, but I'm sensitive to smells, so it's very strong to me. Also, don't expect any coffee or tea to be provided. There was absolutely nothing like that and the cabinets were completely bare. But, I do want to say that I appreciated that there was no cleaning required at check out. And, other than the downstairs, the upstairs common areas - the bedrooms, kitchen, and bathrooms were beautiful, comfortable, and spacious, and kitchen well-stocked with dishes and cookware. So, this is a nice place to stay, although not without any inconvenience.
