"Upon arrival check in was speedy and the room was comfortable. We got the room we wanted and the number of beds needed. Waking up the next day we realized the door into the rooms were broken and didn’t auto close/lock. We found numerous exit stairs propped open with water bottles. Our shower ended up not working the last two nights either scolding us or providing ice cold water. The front desk employee, Jeff make a comment to the maintenance man about me while I was standing there unbeknownst to Jeff. Adobe resort wants to remedy the situation and refund me 2 nights per Candy at the front desks approval. She also stated her manager stayed in one of the rooms I stayed in and experienced the same problems. The pool ceiling is falling down in chunks and there is perfuse mold around the hot tub walls/window seals. The chemicals in the hot tub burned my eyes when the jets were on. The sauna was broken and out of service the entire 5 day stay. Other guests were smoking marijuana making the entire bottom floor smell. "

"Excellent location. Right on the beach and there’s a nice ocean front gravel trail that goes around the rocky area and connects back to the sandy beach when it resumes. Property is well maintained. My only complaint was the mattress. It was ok but uneven. Either older or never rotated. But still reasonably comfortable. "

"This is probably one of, if not the, best property on the middle Oregon coast. Rooms are spacious, ocean front, with pathways to the bluff. The property is set well back from 101, so it's quiet. There's a walking path from the property all the way into Yachats. The lobby is interesting--big wood burning fireplace, lots of tables spread all around. Breakfast is included, but by reservation. It was a step up from continental and served by a charming staff. We tried to use the spa but didn't book early enough. The location is perfect: an hour to Depot Bay and Lincoln City to the north; 45 minutes south to Florence. Two amazing lighthouses, one in either direction (Heceta Head and Yaquina). The area is beyond gorgeous. If I was going to have an issue: the shower. The water pressure was dreadful. Dispensers with shower gel only, and then not enough water pressure to get it off. But then I looked out the window and forgot all about it. "

"This hotel is located pretty far down at the end of a road, ways out of the main town. The shower drain was clogged with hair and sand and hairties. There was cigarette ashes in one of the 2 beds. These beds are advertised as queens but they are "fulls" and the staff is very rude. I did nkt have much interaction with the staff but when in the lobby i observed them on many occasions treating others poorly. "

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. "This was my third stay at the Silver Surf motel, I just love it! My two kids and I have been meeting up with my mom and aunt every year in adjoining rooms. It's very rustic, so if your looking for luxury, this is not the place for you. But if you're looking for a rustic, take cozy place to call home right on the beach, look no further! This place has comfy beds, and functional kitchenette making it feel more like a rental house than a motel.The kids love the indoor pool and the adults look forward to a nice long hot tub soak after a blustery day on the beach (we go in December). The lobby has ganes and videos you can borrow. Breakfast id included, which is appreciated. Pretty basic, no waffle maker but descent pre-packaged food and a couple different cereals to choose from. Definitely recommend, and will absolutely stay again. "

"This is the sweetest cottage right on the beach. Everything was clean and we really appreciated the firewood as it was pretty cold outside. We will definitely come back. "
