"This was our third stay at the DoubleTree Melbourne. We returned because we like the beds and the location, and because we’ve had good experiences at other DoubleTree hotels. Unfortunately, this one has been by far the worst.
The main issue was the front desk. We had reserved a first-floor room with a garden, but they attempted to change our reservation and ultimately gave us one of the worst rooms in the hotel, right next to the parking lot.
There was no sense of appreciation for returning guests. The staff came across as arrogant, with forced smiles and little willingness to help—almost every request was met with a “no,” followed by a routine apology without any real solution.
It’s disappointing to see how a hotel with great potential can be turned into such an unpleasant experience due to poor service."
