Elkmont Cabin

Cabin was as shown in pictures, but these pics were definitely a few years old. The cabin was clean and it was a pet friendly cabin.....however, it smelled strongly of pet odors. We had taken charcoal to be able to grill, but the grill was falling apart. The property was ok, but I was expecting a little better....

BEWARE OF THIS OWNER AND COMPANY

Rented and paid a month in advance. Verified trip day before by emailing owrner and was sent reply. Me, family and dog drive 3 hrs . ONE HOUR before check-in I email owner about code to get in cabin. We are buying groceries for the cabin. The owner replied back stating he has cancelled and refunded my money. ONE HOUR BEFORE!!!!! Says he double booked. He states that this happens all the time . He acts like it's no big deal. I call HomeAway because of their "BOOK WITH CONFIDENCE" . They don't care either!!!! The rep said that all they could do is provide a hotel room for one night. Any nights after the first we would be changed. The rep states that their is nothing they can do when owners do this and it's basically not their fault. So tell me how you "BOOK WITH CONFIDENCE" when this happens to a family? They say you get your money back.... It's 5 to 7 business days before you get it. I will never again support HomeAway or VRBO. I would also beware renting anything through othis owner WILL FARMER.
