Set on the first floor of The Adelaide, a peaceful development in Shanklin, this two-bedroom apartment makes a comfortable home from home with beautiful sea views. So close to the beach that you can be from the sofa to the sand within moments, this open plan apartment’s the perfect setting to spend time as a family. When you head back from the beach and step inside, you’ll be able to cosy up on the sofa and unwind. And, when those views beckon you outside, the balcony makes just the spot to sit back and gaze out to sea.

    If you’re keen to spend as much time on the sand as you can during your stay, The Adelaide’s just across the road from Shanklin’s popular beach, so all you need to do is make sure you have the buckets and spades at the ready. Shanklin has the atmosphere of a traditional seaside resort, and its sandy beaches run against the spectacular sandstone cliffs. With parks and gardens perfect for picnics, there’s a laid back feel to the resort that makes it popular with families.

Lovely accommodation, finding the key was a bit difficult and I had to call a couple of times.

Holiday was lovely, accommodation was clean, cosy and had fabulous views apart from the weather and possibly time of year as most things were closed we couldn’t fault our stay.

Cosy, welcoming & stunning location

Wonderful new year break in this lovely apartment. Very clean and incredibly warm (even when the heating was off!). The location is really special. Only comments would be to get some proper knives and forks, the ones in the property are tiny kids style things. And much more effort is needed to encourage recycling. No recycling facility within the property and I can't recall seeing any advice in the in-property folder. We had to take our bag of recycling to Cowes!

Lovely views of the Culver Downs and interesting watching the ships, yachts etc. It was nice having breakfast out on the balcony on the first week!! The furnishings and kitchen equipment were of very good quality. We would come back again in the future.

Location was just perfect, almost with touching distance of the sea!. The esplanade was popular with visitors but was quiet and ideal for aan Autumn break.. he weather sunny every day apart from the day we left for home.The Esplanade has good facilities for eating out, The flat was comfotable and well maintained. My father and I stayed for four nights and found the apartment fabulous, all aspects of the accommodation was faultless,it was especially nice to sit out on the private balcony and enjoy the excellent sea views. The en-suite in the main bedroom was great meaning my father and I had a bathroom each,the undercover parking space that was a very generous size close to the entry door to building was very convenient as was the elevator.free WiFi which was very simple to connect to was a massive plus. Complimentary tea,coffee and hot chocholate was a nice touch as was the complimentary bathroom products. Will certainly consider booking up this apartment again in the future when visiting the Isle of Wight..
