It was a very pleasant hybrid of a classic BnB with the privacy of an air BnB. Host was on point and communicative. We loved hanging out downstairs in the living room(s). Breakfast was fabulous

Highly recommend this beautiful bed & breakfast! The room was wonderful and overlooked the property, the breakfast was delicious, and the hospitality was amazing. I had a fantastic stay, and will definitely stay at The Wilder House again when I'm in the area.

A charming place

A very charming place to stay. Incredibly quiet with lovely grounds. The trees surround the place are awe inspiring. Owner very friendly and warm. We will stay here again. Very nice breakfast. We are so glad we found this place.

We spent the last weekend at the Wilder House and we really enjoyed our stay there. It is a beautiful old house from the 1800’s and very stylish and very well maintained. The owner, Brad is very welcoming and makes you feel comfortable. He’s very social and very approachable, and makes very good breakfast himself. The cofffe is freshly brewed and very good. The Wilder House is in a good and convenient location to see the Berkshire region. We would highly recommend staying there.

My stay at the Wilder house was great! It's a charming Victorian B&B, which was beautifully designed and arranged so guests can feel at home away from home. The room was comfortable and functional. Brad, the owner, was very helpful and accommodating. He provided detailed instructions ahead of the trip, and answered all of my questions. He was also there to prepare a delicious made to order breakfast. If you're looking for a great B&B in the Great Barrington area, look no further.

I thoroughly enjoyed my two nights stay at the Wilder House. I highly recommend the inn. It was a great value compared to many of the other places to stay in the Berkshires. The room was cozy and the bed was so very comfortable. The other furnishings were beautiful and functional antiques. Note: The original old wood floors are gorgeous but they do creak when walking. Breakfast was delicious- especially the avocado toast! You will find Brad, the Innkeeper and owner, to be extremely helpful and accommodating. (He’s also a great breakfast chef!). A relatively new guest accommodation in the Great Barrington area, Wilder House is looking forward to welcoming you.

Beautiful inn, wonderful owner, a few minor issues

The Wilder House is beautifully decorated, and our room was beautiful. There are books and games if you need to occupy your time, and Brad, the owner, is both a real sweetheart and a fine cook of the included breakfasts. Chat with him and you'll come away smiling. There are a few problems, though, most of them minor and easily remedied, such as the lack of a night light in the bathroom, the single-ply toilet tissue, and the little packets of rough facial tissue instead of a box of higher quality stuff. There's a patterned wood mat, a bit hard on bare feet instead of an area rug; Brad says he's planning to get rugs to cover the mats. There also are some issues that probably can't be fixed. Though there's a ramp to get into the building, only Room 1 is on the first floor; the other four are on the second floor, with stairs the only way to get to them. In our room, Room 4, there's a step up to get into the bathroom, and it's a bit of work to grab onto the sink to make sure you're getting out safely. And the mount for the showerhead is so high that if you need to change its direction, a short person (I'm 4 foot 11) simply can't do it. Those cautions aside, though, the Wilder House really is a lovely place to spend a weekend. And I can't emphasize enough what a terrific host Brad is. When he's talking to you, he's giving you his full attention. (Since he's also the breakfast waiter as well as cook, that can lead to some delays. Nobody seemed to mind them, though.)

It's a boutique B&B place with 5 rooms with great interior decoration. Brad, the owner has an innate focus for details, which shows up in his communications and design of the property and room, including the naming of the inn (Wilder Oak is the name of his 3 years old son...). Brad is relatively new in the hospitality industry, but his intentions and mannerism are just right for the place. He cooks breakfast for guests in the weekend; design of the menue card and breakfast choices are just right for people who are looking for a stay in a homely place with a fairly good size living room to spread around. I highly recommend the place if your destination is Sheffield, MA (not UK) or passing by the southern Berkshire. You wont be disappinted............
