Showed up and the room that i booked was not what booked, pool was closed. Absolutely a ginormous pile of crap. The pool has been closed for months. I booked 2 queen beds to accommodate our group, they gave us a king with a sofa. When trying to get it resolved, they said they didn't have any other rooms, when speaking to the owner he said we could have 2 rooms in his dump in hayward or we can go somewhere else. We went to the best western in spooner and it was great. The amirivu is an absolute joke.

There os a new owner who is very hands on, he was very kind and is working hard to upgrade and fix things that may not be up to date. His staff were very friendly and willing to help . This will be a wonderful property soon and we will go back.

We booked this room for the amenities included however to pool and hot tub were closed, lounge is closed and no continental breakfast. Should've done my research better as it seems the pool has been closed since 2019 and they keep telling people its "closed for maintenance". Could've stayed somewhere else for 1/2 the cost if we had known, but it wasn't advertised anywhere. Expedia was helpful when I called for a refund - they called the hotel and were denied a refund stating they "upgraded our room for the inconvenience" which is not true at all. After reading more reviews it looks like many people have had similar experiences.

The person checking us in was professional and upped us from a queen to king sized bed, which was a kind gesture. The room was generally clean, though there was a stain of unknown origin on the shower curtain and some seemingly post-wash stains on the sheets. The matress and pillows were not the most comfortable, but adequate for the night. The included breakfast was minimal. While we did not go for the pool for this stay as our kids were not with, it should be noted that neither the pool or hot tub were in working order despite it being promoted on this site as having those ammenities. I believe we were the only ones staying in the hotel. We paid $120 for one winter night, and it did feel overpriced for what the facilities were.

Left after four hours.
The hotel was freezing and it smelled so strong of curry that it made me nauseous. They lady tried to switch me to a different room but I told her that I wanted the one I reserved online. The pool and hot tub were drained and out of order. The temp couldn’t have been above 50 degrees and the heater in my room wad on high for four hours and couldn’t heat up my room. I gave up and left.

I had a warm room with a bed to sleep in and a bagel in the morning. But the coffee tasted like it had been there for a week, the bed sheets looked like they were never changed after the last occupant. There was rarely a clerk available or any housekeeping. And the pool/hot tub was empty. I received no word on this, nor on how to check out. For all this, I would expect to pay half of what I did. I paid a lot. The woman at the desk was friendly.

When we arrived there was nobody at the front desk. Had to get a second room. First room had a broken toilet seat and the smoke detector kept chirping. When we got in the second room, there were no towels or pillows. The wallpaper border was ripped and windows were very dirty. Neither the swimming pool or the bar were open. Breakfast was very poor. Would not recommend the hotel.

We were very disappointed that the hot tub was “broken” it was one of the reasons we stayed there.. I personally think he just shut the pool are down because it was the off season.. The ice machine was unplugged as well..Staff was nice enough but overall the hotel could use some love!

Owners are really nice. The property is older and needs some updates but room was nice and comfortable. Very quiet. The pool is not open which is fine but they should state that in profile. They don’t come and change garbage or towels daily you have to go to front desk and ask. Would definitely stay again.

They have as an amenity on their website a swimming pool. This is the third time I have stayed here and the swimming pool is not open. Take it off your website if it’s not open. And therefore don’t charge for it. The breakfast was blah and they had no ice. Very disappointed.

Relatively inexpensive and clean. Room on the small side but it was just me and not a big deal. Ample parking, entry onto property is a little weird (you have to go through a gas station). Staff was pleasant and there wasn't alot of noise which suited me just fine. All in all an nice stay and if I'm back in the area I would have no qualms about returning there.

Buyer beware
The only reason I am giving a review of this hotel is to inform others that are looking to book here. If you are expecting one thing you may get something else. I expected: A pool and hot tub (pool is empty and entire area is under construction, which was NOT stated anywhere on hotel website). I expected: A clean room. Carpets were dirty, couch and all furniture were old and stained, bedding was old and super old pillows, drapes are old and dusty. Just felt so dirty to even touch any surface. Wires hanging from the ceiling where the smoke detector should be. I expected: the lounge to be open. We were there for 2.5 days, it never opened. The picture of the hotel has the “lounge” as their front picture. I expected: The included breakfast to have somewhat of a variety. They had waffles, old bread and bagels, and waxy donuts. Nothing healthy or hot. Just a coffee machine and no juice machine. The hotel lobby and stairs were filthy. The second nights sleep was interrupted by the fire alarm going on and off from about 4:30 am until 9:30 am. Very restless sleep. I know the fire alarm may be an anomaly however the cleanliness was horrible. For two nights my bill was $444.00. ($199/night). I should have stayed in an ARBNB. I could not cancel or I would have lost a nights fee. Buyer beware…

Couldn't see out room window due to thick, white film. Breakfast foods and supplies were few to none. Sink and shower drains were very clogged so water backed up and was slow to drain out.

Do not stay here! They cheaply ran it - horrible horrible hard beds, cheap towels, closed pool, closed lounge, curtains too short let light in, cheap blinds let light in, few towels available, cheap soap wouldn't even lather up. Rude arrogant staff told every person they should not have booked through booking sites. Please remove them! Do not stay here!

Our King bed was so uncomfortable. I would have prob had a better sleep on the floor as the bed was rock solid and the pillows were way too soft and of very poor quality. For the cost at this place, would have expected much better. Second of all, the wifi was non existent. Had to stand in the hallway to get any reception. If this was the only place available, I would sleep in our vehicle instead

The entrance carpet looked dirty and it had a bad smell in lobby area. The bed had only a fitted sheet and the comforter on it. No top sheet. The pool and whirlpool was empty. No water in them. The person at the front desk and the manager was accommodating but we did not feel comfortable stay there.

Our room was nice looking and clean. They had no help that would come to work. So the owners/managers and their kids had to d9 everything themselves. The snack machine was empty. No laundry supplies in the laundry room. We had to ask for detergent. Our mattress was very firm and made my body ache. The blanket did not fit the king bed, it must have been a queen size. The people running it were very nice. However, they are very, very difficult to understand. They are from India. Probably would not stay again only due to the hard mattress. Not comfortable at all. Also, only one comfy chair in the room, so the second personhas to sit in a hard desk chair or on the bed.

There was a difference in the price from what the online booking was and what was charged but the lady at the front desk was very helpful and honored the original price even though it is the website’s mistake. Excellent cleanliness in the rooms. My only complaint is that the breakfast was all sugar and carbs - no protein of any kind and nothing without sugar.

You can tell this property is trying but on its last leg. Pool was closed. Bar was closed. Breakfast was available but quite sparse. It seemed like a couple were trying to run the hotel all alone. Room was OK. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker all plugged into same 3 tap plug. (Safe?). Traveling through? This hotel will do in a pinch and probably the best choice in the area.

The hotel was clean, but run down, couldn't look out the window because it was covered in crud and one side of the window had broken glass. The air conditioner started leaking in the middle of the night. The pool was shut down due to "broken pipes". Not much for "breakfast" just a few bagels and 1 waffle iron. I would like some of my money reimbursed.

We stayed a Sunday night and returned to stay on the following Friday. We had an Expedia itinerary and confirmation number; went to check in and the Manager stated he did not have our reservation but had one room that was "reserved" that he would allow us to stay in for twice the booking costs we originally had. Refused to completely honor the Expedia reservation and rates. Do NOT trust this property as he clearly had our room reserved and wanted twice the amount we reserved it for.

Place had the potential to be nice but definitely needs some attention and upkeep. Great pool area if there was water in there. Great bar on site.. if it was open. It did have a breakfast area with hot coffee and some breakfast items, which was nice.
