This house was built in 1915 by John and Hulda Keil at 512 S. Mill Street, Flatonia, Texas. In March 2024, the house was purchased and moved in June 2024 to its current location at 304 N Avenue B in Shiner, Texas to begin its new life as part of the Old Kasper House Victorian Inn. The first floor has a colorful 50s, 60s and 70s Bohemian vibe with period furniture and some interesting original artwork. The industrial kitchen provides an oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, cookware and dishes. The living room has a dining table, TV, and a seating area. Downstairs there are two private bedrooms, one with a King size bed and the other with a Queen size bed, that share a full bathroom with a shower. The Living Room and King Bedroom have exterior doors to the north facing covered front porch with a view of the K. Spoetzl Brewery & Distillery located 3 blocks away. At the rear of the house is a deck with chairs perfect for enjoying morning coffee and kolaches from a local bakery or an adult beverage in the evening while star gazing. The finished attic has a completely different feeling, that of a bright and airy bunkhouse with three semi-private sleeping alcoves. Each alcove has a queen size bed, an open closet, and seating area. There are three gabled areas with bench seating with a table and chair perfect for working or checking emails. The attic has a shared full bathroom with a shower. The house is equipped with central air conditioning and heat. The floor, walls, and attic roof are fully insulated to keep out the Texas Heat (and the Texas Cold). Wi-Fi and off-street guest parking is provided.
