「The hotel was absolutely terrible. The housekeeping staff stole our passports and my handbag. When we complained, they secretly put the bag back as if nothing had happened. Another guest at the hotel experienced the same thing with their phones. We were able to watch the CCTV footage, which clearly showed that we brought the bag into the hotel.
