“On the first night of my stay, the showerhead broke halfway through my shower, and the water temperature was hard to control. I ended up finishing the shower in a very awkward and uncomfortable way. Later, when I was about to go to sleep, I found that the air conditioner remote had no batteries, so I had to go the whole night without any air conditioning. When I told the hostess, she assumed I was the one who broke it. Upon checkout, she asked me for €20 for the city tax, even though I had……

“Hidden down a winding alleyway, but still close to the bus station and the port amenities. The land lady was friendly and offered advice on how to access various places nearby. Couldn't figure out how to check in at first, the room wifi had spotty coverage in places and I hit my head on the hallway ceiling multiple times. Still it was homey, with sensible choices for shower gel scents and a big window for letting the breeze in. There was an AC, but I didn't try it with the weather, nice as it……

“This place isn't really a hotel. It's a self-serviced rental unit with self check-in/check-out. I would not return, primarily because of the stairs. You have to carry your luggage up 37 steps on a public street, step over a 2-step threshold through a green door into the courtyard, climb 13 steps to the second floor, and then go up 7 more steps inside the unit. That is 59 steps total. I booked through Expedia expecting a traditional hotel with staff available to drop off bags. Instead, the key……

“Prior to arriving, staff were proactive in contacting us to explain check in. On the day of arrival, they were kind enough to allow us entry before the standard check in time (early flight!) The bed was comfy and there was a coffee machine and kettle available in the room. Water pressure in the shower was great. The property itself is perfectly located and is mere minutes (seconds in some cases!) away from some of the big attractions like the City walls, Rectors Palace and the Sponza palace.……
