The property itself was great, however, prior to arrival, I confirmed with the agency that a proper Covid clean was being carried out. We were advised YES, definitely a complete deep clean is being done. However, it was not.
There was hair all over the blankets, areas of the unit were completely missed in the cleaning, and it was definitely NOT cleaned properly.
The agency agreed.
We also enquired prior to arrival, about the parking and were advised by the agent that the garage was right by the unit, (which it was) however, we had no access to the garage which they did not advise us until we were there?!
There were 2 heaters in the property, one being like a hair dryer, the other was ok, the property was freezing on the first night. The agency agreed and supplied an additional normal sized heater, but only the next day.
The shower, and vanity taps were dripping (both needed servicing) the kitchen mixer was connected the wrong way, and the hot water whilst sufficient if there were 2 staying, was not sufficient for 4.
We had to supply toilet paper, soap, shampoo, rubbish baps, washing up detergent - none of this was provided.
The agency was located 15 mins drive from the property and we had to go to (and return to) the agency to get the keys as they did not provide a key lock box or keys at the property.
Further, they did not provide linen, which we had to rent additionally, which then did not fit the queen bed!
The adjacent property was under construction, we had construction noises from 7am each morning (Construction is fine, and not an issue), but the agency never advised us of this and we would have chosen a different property had we been made aware of this fact.
Our overall experience with the agency was very poor
