“nice room and breakfast, relatively goof for its price”

“We have stayed here several times! However, the pool wasn’t maintained properly and had turned somewhat green! Out of the three days we were there, we could only use it one day! A little disappointing for a visit at this location!”

“This hotel was not much more than a motel 6. It was filthy, old and in much need of repair. There was a roach in the tub which I took a picture of. The safety bar in the tub is hardly attached. The TV only worked using the physical button on the TV. Remote did not work. Couldn't change channel or volume. Breakfast at 8am was cold and old. They could not make more eggs. I couldn't find any help to even get a napkin. Carpets were dirty. Elevator made scary noises and fridge made loud noise all……

“We enjoyed our stay with 2 of our grandkids. We enjoyed the beach and Southport. We took a ferry ride to Fort Fisher. The hotel was clean and beds were comfortable. The kids enjoyed the pool and breakfast was a hit.”

“Our “river view” was blocked by overgrown bushes and foliage on the property behind us. I wish we had been on the third floor. The room was very clean.”

“We LOVE the Hampton Inn Oceanfront Carolina Beach! This was our 4th year staying there. The staff are all wonderful and welcoming, and they will ensure your stay is great! Breakfasts are delicious with fresh fruit, waffles, egg dishes, and all the other goodies. We opt for an oceanfront room for that gorgeous view. Have a drink at their Tiki Bar and soak up more fabulous relaxation!”

“I throughly enjoyed my stay. This was my first visit to Oak Island and I will go back. The room was very clean. I didn’t need the staff for any issues but they were great at check in. I also didn’t go to the pool so I’m not sure how that is. The parking lot and the hotel itself seemed very well maintained. I loved the short walk to the beach. I do think my tv was possessed. Lol. Seriously though I think the neighbors remote was turning mine on and off. I couldn’t get my remote to do anything but……

“We loved it and everything was wonderful. Staff very accommodating, clean room with comfortable beds, clean pool and great location. Only complaint wouId be noisy upstairs neighbors earlynm in morning.This is something that could happen anywhere with running kids above you.. you could stay on 3rd flr but know there is no elevator. There are only 3 designated pet allowed rooms which are on first floor and why we did. I would definitely stay there again! So nice and good price for right on the……

“One of the two pools was closed and staff kept saying it would be open on next day, but when next day came, there was another excuse. So, one pool was open and was filled with children so not relaxing at all experience for older adults. Staff was very friendly and helpful in other issues.”
