perfect house for family

This house was charming and perfect for our family of 5. The kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of room to spread out. The back porch/yard area was by far our favorite area to hang out. It is what made us pick this location over others.

Awesome Views and Cabin but…

We couldn’t have been happier with the views and the outdoor space. The riverfront was incredible - able to do a little fly fishing just a few yards from the porch. The views from the living room downstairs were perfect also. Everything you need to cook, great laundry room, bathrooms were great also. Two complaints - one was an oversight, but the other is worth noting, and would probably keep us from staying again. No sheets were cleaned on any bed…maybe the owner or their family stayed between the previous guests and our stay (1 month previous), but either way - we spent the first 3 hours washing bedding so we could sleep the first night. Vacasa refunded the cleaning fee and the first night’s stay. The most concerning was the smoke smell. This was either from cigarette or cigar smoke (most likely) or from the wood burning stove (unlikely). Either way, it was enough to transfer smoke smell onto everything we took with us: pillows, blankets, jackets, clothes (whether worn or still packed and un-worn in our suitcase)…even our shoes smell of smoke. We certainly were disappointed about those two things, but still had a great time.

Relax and have your stress float away

Loved the location, firepit and rustic log home. Clean and decorated with generational pictues and accents throughout. Really distressed and enjoyed the wildlife on the river. Water was high and running fast so great attention to children was made at all times.

1st summer time visit to South Fork, 2nd time at this host location, can't beat the location and accommodations! Quiet and right on the Rio Grande river makes this a easy choice!

Great, beautiful location beautiful home thank you very much for letting us stay in your home. The river is beautiful. There are only suggestions. Are the trash was pretty difficult to handle because animals would get in it each night even with the straps tightened down so a different type of trash barrel, maybe would work , Your house had wonderful amenities, thank you

Christmas family vacation

Great place to stay, right in the river. A few hiccups getting in but they were remedied quickly. Plenty of room for our family of 10 with extra beds if needed. We wish there was lighting over the bar area and maybe an extra table for games and puzzles but we made due.
