"I was so impressed with the Receptionust who completed the check-in process. (3pmish 19th Oct). She was very welcoming and professional. Advised of discounts regarding booking breakfast and had given us an upgrade to our room. When she realised it was a trip to celebrate our anniversary, she arranged for a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to be sent to the room. She was also responsible for arranging a last minute taxi as the weather was so awful - a feat in itself, as taxis were in high demand that night. Just a lovely young lady and such an asset to your front of house staff. I am only sorry I could thank her myself when checking out as she was off-duty. I would also like to mention the housekeeping lady who we met as she was just such a breath of fresh air and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was prepared and kept beautifully. Thank you, we will definitely be back and will be recommending The Gore to family and friends. Joy Kerr "
