We recently stayed at this condo in South Padre and unfortunately, our experience didn’t meet expectations. While the location was good and the setup had potential, cleanliness was an MAJOR issue.
When we arrived, there were dirty towels left in the bathroom and even a used loofah from a previous guest — clearly not what you'd expect in a cleaned space. The kitchen counters were noticeably dirty, and after just an hour of walking around barefoot, my 3-year-old daughter’s feet were completely black from the floors.
The owner does mention that some food items may be left for guest use, but it was odd to find a frozen jar of spaghetti sauce just sitting in the freezer. Also, the microwave handle was broken and just placed on the stove — something we only got clarification on after I reached out first.
I did bring up the condition of the counters, and the owner apologized. But when I mentioned the state of the floors, the only response was a brief “thanks for letting me know,” which felt a bit dismissive given how dirty they were.
That said, one positive was that the owner was very easy to reach and responded quickly to all of my questions and concerns throughout the stay, which I appreciated.
With more attention to cleaning and upkeep, this condo could be a much better option.
