"The Read is a lovely old hotel. Unlike many similar hotels in towns across the country, the Read does not seem down at the heels, with its best days behind it. It clean, well-maintained, the rooms are comfortable and the staff is professional, courteous and knowledgeable. When we pass through Chattanooga, we generally try to stay there."
