"Everything about my families stay was amazing. It was only for one night but my family was pleased with their stay. Everything was clean and staff was great. Grandkids surely loved the indoor pool. Breakfast was good ,staff was helpful and friendly. Just the whole atmosphere there was wonderful. You all provided everything needed that anyone would be looking for in a great place to stay. "We had a nice time. Good things are happening here but the shelter needs support. While we were there, people brought their cats and/or dogs to give away; it's heartbreaking that they cannot take care of their own animals. The VRBO income is supposed to help so I hope people come. Some things to know: It's a comfortable house with spacious living room, kitchen, dining room, bedroom. The laundry room has twin beds and my son and daughter-in-law made do. We enjoyed the cats greeting us every day; some were okay with being petted, some kind of shy. Dogs were mostly inaccessible; we could see but not pet them, and they did not bark much. Many goats but a challenge to put a carrot through the double chainlink fence. Plenty of donkeys that we were able to feed ; they are surprisingly pleasant and attractive animals. Only one old horse and a couple of miniatures. The "natural" waterfall is overflow from the muddy lake through a drainpipe. The lake is small but it was easy to get a paddleboard (not provided) or kayak on it. I suppose you could swim in it. Wear a life jacket or the owner will yell at you. (Ha, just needling him; he is concerned about his insurance costs.) A wedding chapel is being built on the property and I heard there might be a houseboat to rent at some point."
