Amazing place to stay!!!

Our whole family of five loved this house. Pictures do not do it justice. The house was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The location on the river was perfect. Loved all the mermaid decor and all the outside seating. We hope to stay again in the future!

Return to River Run Retreat - a Treat!

We have stayed at RRR in the past under previous owner. We love the improvements made since our last stay: easier access to kayaks and walkway from driveway, grill location and cover, reclining couch, washer and dryer, and deck chairs. We will definitely be back!

Fun River Cabin

We had a wonderful time at River Run using the Kayaks and Paddle Board and jumping in the springs. We were traveling with family and children (4yrs and 18 months old), the bunk beds and big kitchen were perfect for our group. I recommend bringing a baby gate for their stairs if you have little ones. The beds were comfy and water pressure was great. It was easy to find and had ample parking.

Perfect Location

We've stayed here several times and will continue to do so. Tabitha is very easy to reach and extremely helpful. The location cannot be beat and the amenities included at the property are top notch. We'll be buying this house if it ever goes up for sale!

Updated cabin on the best part of the river

We LOVED staying here. The location on the river was the best part.. but the cleanliness of the cabin, the rustic feel while being updated and having amazing appliances with a fully stocked kitchen, great bathrooms and showers, and comfortable beds. There were great TVs for watching movies after a long day. The kayaks and paddles were great too. I am an avid kayaker and loved their pelican kayaks. There is a beautiful deck where we spent a lot of our time. I loved this home and will definitely be back!

Manatee Bucket List

What a wonderful getaway. The location is perfect. We paddled down stream to eat at Upper Deck and back. Next day paddled up stream to State park and back. Beautiful water, manatees, fish and birds. My Round Boat rental was perfect for my husband who was not enthusiastic about paddling up stream for several miles! House is perfect, will definitely return and highly recommend.

Amazon stay!

This is great spot for a relaxing vacation. We loved the location and the kids loved being able to swim in the river right from the dock. Highly recommend renting a boat from overnight boat rental (magnet on the fridge) to be able to see the area especially if you have kids that find the current a challenge to paddle in. My son is 12 and struggled in spots to get up the river in certain spots. The property is well maintained and was spotless. We already booked again for next year!

Again we had a wonderful family vacation, everything was perfect. the only thing I could suggest is maybe a ramp to put the kayak in the water, it's a little bit hard when you don't have a man around. Thank you again

Always comfortable and fun

I have started at David’s place numerous times and he just continues to improves the amenities. Love the privacy that the new fence affords. The river lights set a nice mood. New grill is wonderful. Property is always well maintained and the river location is gold. I hope I have the opportunity to always stay during the summer. This year is booked but I would book out for years if capable.

Fantastic

The place is everything it is advertised to be and more. Fully equipped. Serene, beautiful, relaxing! We saw manatees right off our deck along with plenty of fish and a local otter came by on two different days. Everything we wanted to do and see were only a short drive away. We kayaked, rented a Jon boat, hired a charter captain to do some red fishing and went to The Weeki Watchee Springs State Park .

Perfect location on the river

We (four adults) stayed at this home for three nights and were extremely pleased. The location was the best we saw on the river. We base this on the fact that we kayaked from the house to Rogers Park. The home was as advertised and, in fact, I thought the downstairs space was larger than what it appeared to be when I looked at the pictures online. Bullet points: Kitchen – everything we needed Comfortable beds Beautiful outdoor space. Comfortable outdoor furniture Plenty of covered space to get out of the sun A bug mister system – fabulous idea Plenty of kayaks and a paddle board We saw fish, manatees, turkeys, raccoons, a river otter, deer Would recommend!

My Paradise for the Summer

Love this place on the river. It is magical. This stay afforded me the opportunity to see a dolphin up close. The kayaks are well maintained and offer so much opportunity to venture out. Cant beat the scenery. Love the gas grill as we always cook out. The balcony off the second level really allows me to drink my morning cup of coffee and watch the wildlife from overhead. David and Tabitha do great things with this property and it is hard to ever think I could go anywhere else. I live 10 minutes from this house and it is worth every penny.

Love!

We loved this getaway! Right on the river. A bit more upstream than many other places, so it had less houses and less people, less noise, which was perfect. My husband adored the wood work. I felt like we were glamping , and it was perfect We used the kayaks, sat out on the decks, saw turkeys, deer, butterflies, heard owls. We saw many manatees down at Roger’s Park and by the boat launch. The water is so clear and blue. . It is definitely buggy at dusk, so bring your bug spray. It was perfect for us, and can easily fit 2 more people but I feel unless you are young or you are family, having too many more than that might be cramped. The second bedroom really has no privacy, which is fine if you are with your kids or good friends. If we return to Weekie Wachee, we will stay here again. Thank you for renting your place out.

One of a Kind Experience

The entire stay was absolutely amazing! Inside, outside, and surrounding areas are all breathtaking. So much wildlife, we saw manatees, crabs, all kind of fish and otter float by as we hung out on the deck. Deer walked in the river, bobcat jump on the tree right across the river from the property. This is A must stay for nature lovers! Kids and we jumped and stayed in the river all day long and floated down the current. The house inside is one of a kind interior design wood craftsmanship! Everything inside is custom made wood furniture and the entire interior is made out of wood, it is absolutely stunning. A unique experience in its own. Kitchen was well stocked, but can use few more glasses and wine glasses. And needs an ICE CREAM SCOOPER 😄 We used the kayaks every day to go both ways up and down the river which has many sandy beach stops to take a break, splash in the water, and jump off the trees. There were PLENTY of towels for everyone and a lot more extras we didn’t even need to use. Beds are comfy, king bed is SUPER comfortable. Host was quick to respond to our inquiries. Overall 10/10 experience. Unforgettable stay! We cannot wait to be back! Recommend to everyone who loves Florida springs, nature, or just wants a quiet tranquil getaway.

Another Great Spring Break on The River!

We stay at River Run every year for Spring Break and it’s always perfect! The house is always very clean and well stocked with the essentials. This house has the “starters”, which usually only means a few toilet paper rolls, a few dishwasher detergents packs, a few garbage bags, etc, However, you actually get enough for a full weeks supply.at this house. No need to bring these with you or pick them up at the store which is great. The house is the closest VRBO to the head of the Spring which means you have some of the clearest water on the river to see the manatee, fish, turtles and other wildlife all day long while sitting on the deck, kayaking or swimming. The house has a full king en-suite and a loft with 2 huge bunk beds. There is a TV in every room, though we use them very little. Wifi is great since I have to have a few conference calls during our stay. They have also upgraded the BBQ covered area which is perfect when it’s raining - I never want to be inside while on the river, so cooking riverside is always a must. As I said earlier in my review, we come to the house at least once a year because of the location, cleanliness and great host - if you ever have an issue or a question they promptly respond and address any concerns. Thanks for another great stay at your home!!!
