“King Oceanfront Room was spacious, clean, and updated with wooden floors. We requested the safe in the room to be fixed twice, but still did not work. The entrance door panel was broken and hanging the whole time we stayed. The bathroom was spacious, and the towels were thick and soft. The shower pressure was excellent. The king bed was very comfortable, the sheets were soft, and the comforter was perfect. The lazy river was quite dirty, but we spent most of our time at the beach. The adult pool……

“We stayed for 5 nights. The staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was a kitchenette which we enjoyed. Towels and trash tended to daily. A bit more attention to bathroom and floors would have been appreciated for that many nights. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would stay again.”

“The room was very nice. Large area. It took a while to figure out how to work the thermostat controls and get the temperature to a comfortable area. The heat was a bit spotty in the living room area vs say the bedroom. The fireplace helped with living room heating. The comoliment of kitchenette dishes was sufficient for the time stayed. I did have a couple critical comments. Bei g on the 1st floor I could clearly hear the sales presentation of the other IHG owned property. It made sleeping in,……

“I wasn’t expecting much from the Sandbar hotel. When walked into check in the staff and manager/owner was super nice. The lady that checked me in. Was super nice and funny. When I walked in my room it was extremely clean. It looked just like the promo photos I will go there again. Don G.”

“Host was RUDE!! Water park was not functional so they sent us to "sister hotels" to their water park and it wasn't functional. The water in the rooms did not get hot AT ALL. Cold showers for everyone! There was a random man walking down the sidewalks with a knife!! Ocean racape is actoss the street from the hotel that you have to check in at. I do not recommend staying here. The only good thing was yhe size of the pool at a sister hotel. You have to drive to the sister hotel to swim. ”

“Right on the beach at reasonable price but the place is run down. The property is promoted as a newly renovated place. Bed was awful. Not sure what kind of mattress it was. Kinda futon like. Thin and wonky. No lamps in the room. Two lights for the room. One light highlights under the bed. Yes under bed light. The 2nd light is behind the headboard. There is a wall sconce when you first walk in the door with a wicker rattan lampshade on the sconces. Bath room shower is newly renovated however……
