“Fantastic location near Bamburgh Castle. Lovely hosts. Excellent breakfast, especially the sausages and black pudding. New shower in our room which was lovely. Comfy bed.”

“We stayed in off season. When we arrived at 4 pm, nobody was there. Another guest let us know the keys were just behind a flower box. Got in, lovely room, clean, with plenty of amenities. Good water pressure. My only wish would be that they provide wash cloths, as well as towel racks or some form of hanging and drying our towels. There not a single hook or rack in the entire room. A simple fix, but certainly worth it. I didn’t have much hope for the breakfast, not sure why, but it was……

“Nice clean room even though you could hear people above snoring and conversation.We mentioned on three separate occasions we would like twin bed but got double.Having said this it is always a pleasure staying here and everyone is so friendly and helpful.”

“Lovely room small but adequate situated above a real old pub which was very welcoming no parking on site but a car park was within 150 metres fantastic English breakfast at very reasonable prices ”

“Loved the room it was nice and clean, the bed is very comfy too. Easy to find and check in. Loved the touch of the caramel bars next to the tea and coffee. Fast communication with the hotel contact. Would definitely stay again ”

“Lovely, clean room (Muckle). Very friendly and helpful staff. Just a few little niggles, such as the tv remote had no cover over the batteries and didn’t work properly as a result. No coffee machine or mini fridge, both pretty standard these days, even in much less expensive rooms. The decor, both room and hotel generally, is really nicely done, and overall, we had a lovely stay. No better recommendation than to say we would definitely stay there again. ”

“Property is well located and beds are comfy. It was very cold in the property when we arrived as the thermostat had been turned to 10 degrees and there were no matches to light the fire. The whole property felt like it needed a bit of a refresh.....walls marked, some mirrors cracked, doors & handles chipped, kitchen equipment mismatched and well used, some kitchen equipment broken, dining room chair broken and not usable. The shower has a slanted roof so not ideal as you have to duck to prevent……

“Parking good. Staff excellent team both at hotel and wedding venue at Doxford Barnes. Hot tub not open. Too cold Excellent place to stay. Breakfast excellent. Evening meal we had excellent. Service good. Only down side. Checkout 10am. Most hotels check out 11. Felt rushed this morning ”

“The bed and breakfast experience lived up to its billing with prompt and excellent service from Michelle whenever requested. Breakfasts were excellent with a wide range of choices and the rooms were kept tidy with the suite providing the opportunity to relax in private. ”

“Our stay at the links was more than expected, lovely clean, warm room, excellent bathroom facilities, very friendly reception staff, excellent location for local ammienties and exploring the local area, a great little cafe next door where you can get a tasty breakfast served by friendly staff.i would fully recommend a stay at the links,we will certainly be returning ”
