「We needed an accommodation relatively close to Blacks Harbor in order for us to travel to Grand Manan to visit family and TRUTH BE TOLD - this was the only accommodation available for our family of 5. We had a chaotic trip. We flew in from Alberta, one of our kids (we learned) is very susceptible to motion sickness... (its our first BIG family trip) there were challenges with our rental car. It was a tough travel day all around however!!! I am SO pleased that this was our first night...

「Unfortunately, this did not qualify as a 5 star accommodation. It is a gorgeous , older home with beautiful gardens but amenities and support from staff was disappointing. Our room , quite “cozy” was lacking in supplies like tissues, shower cap, water bottles, extra towels, and it was dark with lights needing replacement. This could be a 5 star accommodation with more attention to detail and more staff present in site. Breakfast should def be included and not an extra charge!」

「We had a wonderful stay at Woodhaven. It was very welcoming and we loved the fact that it was very dog friendly. Beautiful location on Oak Bay. We especially enjoyed the hot tub on the deck overlooking the beautiful views of the bay.」
