The property was previously a school transformed to inn. From outside looks very ordinary but inside it's very good and clean. Bathrooms were very good and new. We loved our stay there in the family room.

This inn exceeded our expectations. Our room was very big and very clean. The dining room was cozy and conversation flowed between the tables. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and we saw places on our drive today that we would have missed if they hadn’t told us about them last night. We will definitely stay here again if we are back this way. Very convenient to the Labrador ferry terminal in St Barbe.

Hotel is a former elementary school. The owner gave a tour upon check in explaining the layout when a school (former staff room and principal’s office are now the bar/lounge). Room was very spacious and comfortable. Good breakfast.

What a fun stay! The owners are great people and so fun to talk to. You can also get “screeched in” here like I did and become an honorary Newfoundlander. The food is excellent and the rooms are clean and spacious. Highly recommended!

Amazing, unique place. A former school, yet! Only quibbles are that the security is a bit loose and the continental breakfast had no protein apart from some yogurt.

Newly renovated, immaculately clean, warm and welcoming - it's the complete package deal. From the moment we checked in, Donna made our stay comfortable and relaxing. Donna has given this old school some new life and shares it with visitors by offering a restaurant and a bar- both onsite. Everywhere is clean, comfortable and enjoyable. The wonderful little touches in the decor show that our host cares and takes the time to make her guests feel comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast were available onsite - husband says their pan fried cod is the best! Thanks for the wonderful hospitality!

It was a unique property being a former school. The person who checked us in was wonderful and gave us a tour of the place explaining how it was once a former school. She also provided us with suggestions on what to see in Quebec/Labrador as that was our next stop after taking the ferry to Blanc Sablon. She was amazing!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at Genevieve Bay Inn, Donna and her delightful and helpful staff made out time their an absolute delight. Never stayed in an old repurposed elementary school. Such fun. David who hosted in the bar was terrific and kind. If we’re ever back on the Northern Peninsula (and I hope we will), we’ll certainly plan for a night there

This hotel was perfect. We stayed in the family room, had 4 double beds set up like bunk beds great when travelling with kids or Friends. The room was Spacious, with high ceilings. The room was clean and beds were comfortable with nice linen. The hotel had a bar with pool tables and restaurants. The Continental breakfast was perfect, with homemade breads , fruit, cereal, muffins . The staff are friendly and even gave us a tour of the hotel,. Definitely recommend when staying in the area.
