Spring break 2025

Wonderful week

Our stay at this property was wonderful. Beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space for the whole family, including teen grandkids. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, and requests to management were answered and responded to very quickly and thoughtfully. Overall we were very pleased.

Wonderful home for several families

We had several families together for the week and had a blast. Very close to the beach and the sunsets were amazing. Loved the house!

Beautiful home and area!

Goodnite Moon was very clean, had a well stocked kitchen, and great comfy bedding! The location of the house is great as well, short walk to pool and beach. This is our 4th time staying in Sunset Beach and we love having the beautiful views of the bay and beach, an d being close to the State Park!

Blue Heron stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our trip included eleven people and started two days after a hurricane. We anticipated a cancellation but were pleasantly surprised with a call telling us our house in Sunset Beach was ready to go. There was some tree limbs and debris but everything turned out well and we had a week of beautiful weather.

Quiet and Relaxing

Great vacay!

Lovely home with the perfect floor plan! Everyone had their own space and could spread out as needed. The beds were also comfortable. The walk to the beach was easy, and the elevator made unloading and loading our supplies a breeze. Communication with the property manager was always pleasant and prompt. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful!!!!

We have stayed on the island many, many times. This home was definitely one of our favorites. We love the area that this home is in & that it is gated & quiet. The house had a unique lay out which worked PERFECTLY for our large family. Kitchen was well stocked. Everything was clean. We are already looking at trying to get this house for our next vacation.

Loved Goodnight Moon

We loved the Goodnight Moon property. We had a handicapped man in our group that appreciated the elevator. The house was decorated nicely. The kitchen had everything you could need. The views were amazing of the gulf and bay. The on site laundry was a plus. We had plenty of room for all 10 of us. We would definetely stay at the property again,

SGI 7/24’

This was our 22nd family vacation at SGI and the 2nd time staying at this house in Sunset Beach. Location to beach excellent, beds were very comfortable, AC perfect, elevator no issues. Lacking extra blankets, stove was less than desirable, burners were old and didn’t produce enough gas to prepare family meals timely. Lacking good knives, and bowls. Nothing major but would help to know for the next family on what to bring. Tennis court was very disappointing for those who like to play tennis. Again nothing major just FYI. We had a fantastic time!

Hurtgen Family Stay at the Blue Heron - Oct 2023

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Blue Heron (Formerly Goodnite Moon). This was a family vacation with all of our immediate family but one teen who was away at his first year in college.The house was clean upon arrival and everything was as expected. We enjoyed the pool immensely and, yet, went to the beach every day except one, when it stormed. So, we took the opportunity to shop in Apilachicola.There were only a couple of things that need to be repaired. The first would be the elevator, which gets stuck on the first floor. If you are in the elevator, you'll need to lift the lever on the upper door sil in order to open the door. This could truly be a safety issue. Fortunately, we figured out out to access the elevator from the outside if you have called it to the first floor. This calls for using something kind of long and slender to insert into the hole of the door (upper left corner), in order to lift the lever from the outside. The other issue is the stove. Lighting the burners isn't a sure thing and takes some patience to get them going. This, again, is a safety issue.A couple of maintenance guys came to change air filters during our stay, but they were friendly and very professional.Absolutely love this place, and may return again. Upgrades definitely needed to cookware in the kitchen, make sure to bring your own. Elevator can be touchy, read the directions provided for successful use. Otherwise it was a fabulous trip. We would return.

Great Cousins Reunion

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just left Blue Heron yesterday, 9/8/2024. Although our stay included 2/3 days of rain, we had a great experience in this home. Very spacious, well-kept, clean, and nicely laid out for privacy when needed. The property is about a 3 minute, easy walk to the beach which we took advantage of the one sunny day we had. Property manager was always available, especially when we could not get the elevator to work (user error😂). She was so patient with us.

Fabulous views and location

This is a spectacular property with stunning views of the marsh on one side and the gulf on the other. It is Located adjacent to the state park in a small gated beachfront community. 5 decks adjoin all five bedrooms and main living room. Beautiful!

Awesome beach home and host!

The experience from start to finish was phenomenal! McKenzie was a great host. Everything went smooth. The home was beautiful! Everything we needed was available as it relates to toiletries, kitchen appliances and utensils. The area was great and peaceful. Loved it! We will definitely book again!

Overall, a wonderful vacation for our entire family.

Most everything was excellent; the house, the weather, the pool, the ocean, etc... The house, not unlike any other, could use a handyman to make some minor adjustments. The plumbing problem in one of the bathrooms was remedied while we were there. The kitchen was well-fitted with the stuff which one needs to cook and eat. The bedrooms were adequate and, while not everyone found their bed to be of perfect comfort, my wife and I did. The master bedroom and bath were just fantastic. Everyone loved the double-barreled shower in the master bath. The walk to the beach was short and easy, as was the walk to the pool. We found the gated community to be safe and quiet. We will definitely consider Gulf Coast Vacation Properties when thinking about another vacation on Saint George Island.
